    I've been Money Tipped!
I don't want to pop a bubble, but sometimes its nice to remember that our own lives have other pluses. That the dream is just that......fantasy might make some of us feel more dissatisfied with our lot so just wanted to point out that ....its not like that, even on a smaller scale.

Hope you feel better soon. I know the baby thing is so difficult. I've been there in a different way. (Too many penguins to explain)
I definitely understand the binge thing :o:o haven't worked out a way round that one :(

The fantasy house will be funded with the vast fortunes made by WaS's book, JM's chart topping music and Code Monkey's best selling computer game , I think my fortune will be made from my recession busting 'make-do-and-mend' fashion line :D , we all have skills and we will all succede...this is true fantasy with no worrying allowed :D

As for cleaning, every room will have those robot vacuum cleaners/floor washers .

  • Is the fantasy making people dissatisfied ? I was quite enjoying not having any boundaries or limits :(

    [Thinking ] :huh::question:

I'm rather enjoying imagining this rather eccentric house, would really appreciate before anyone worries that anyone it is worrying either says so on the thread or PMs someone else to flag it up in case the fantasy house talk needs to stop. :)

    Happy weekends to all.

MU- may be worth going back in the thread to remind yourself of the suggestions and support from sunday :)

I'm trying to learn about mindfulness and basic meditation so I handle every day things in a different way as I think I often do feel that I don't appreciate the things I do have and don't change the things I don't like or work towards changing them iyswim?

Thank you LiR for reminding me about that, don't want to upset anyone but the fantasy house is fun for me but may not be for others.

Just thought I would pop by and say hi and hope everyone is doing ok today. The thread is too long to read through but it seems there is a lot of love and support in here :o

Well, when I was rabbiting on about sitting-rooms, it wasn't covetousness or envy or wishful thinking, it was just letting my imagination let rip, as in, say, a novel! And like Oystercatcher, I was enjoying the fact that there are no boundaries to this fictional house!

I know what you mean, though, LIR, but believe me, I know how lucky I am, if only for the fact that I live in the U.K. and enjoy just about as much freedom as it is possible to have in a civilised society.

But I do enjoy letting my imagination let rip, and the fact of sharing it with you guys and seeing your imaginations let rip, is a really good bit of virtual bonding and togetherness, don't you think?

Talking of which(!), can our house have some bats? I like bats. If not in the eaves, could we have a grotto in the garden that they could live in.

Our new house is going to have bats in the belfry? Is it bad for my sense of humour to find that strangely appropriate for this thread?

MU, I guess it depends on the job, but I used to like occasional evening shifts as it gave me chance to play catch up with the boring jobs during the day before I went. I think I'm going to find 9-5s quite hard to get used to because its going to feel like there's no time to do anything except eat, sleep and walk the dog. It's good that your manager appreciated the effort you'd made to keep going. Enjoy your days off.

Oldestgnome, mindfulness was on my list of things to try but I never seem to put the time aside. Guess that means I'm not motivated enough at the moment.

CM, your inner toddler is allowed a tantrum every now and then. Then she gets a cuddle, and goes back to sleep again. Be kind to yourself, it's a lot to deal with.

Tee-hee! Perhaps we should call the house Batty Heights! :D

    .

Some find the phrase 'Bats in the Belfry' to describe mental health problems deeply offensive, including MIND which ran a well supported campaign about innappropriate and abusive words and terms used as mental health symptom descriptors.
