Yes, we must have meerkats! And sheep! I adore sheep, too!

We have LIR's geese which is perfect, I get on very well with geese. I used to feed a couple who had been together for 12 years and they were so tame. I used to be able to cuddle the male while I fed him, they are surprisingly substantial to hold and very strong.

Oooh, and chickens and Secret Rooster! I love hens so much that when I finally met some I couldn't eat chicken for the following two years. They are also quite cuddly when they are tame. Do you notice a pattern here that I have to cuddle everything?

Wooohooo! Excellent TL! Do you have plans or are you going flop on the sofa for the duration? (I'd flop).

I shall flop :D. I can hog the xbox, the cat and the chocolate fingers and just enjoy the peace for a while.... while completely ignoring all the important things I should be doing like trying to remortgage on my own.
  • That sounds like the perfect break to me, TL! Have a few weeks just for you and enjoy every minute!

That sounds fantastic tea. I've got 2 weeks off over Christmas and I could use that time to decorate the kitchen, but I know that I won't. I'll end up lazing about watching crap tv and eating Christmas food.

  • I am making pumpkin cupcakes (yes, the pumpkin is still going). Wish me luck.

Not that keen on cows, prefer goats! How about a couple of pigmy goats? I like goat's cheese!

    Oops sorry.

    I'd like them all. :D

  • I like frogs and have at least thirty permanently in my two small wildlife ponds (more in the spring). We have thousands of tadpoles in the spring and then hundreds of little frogs.

Unfortunately it appears the most dangerous predator of little frogs is....bigger frogs :( But we have at least half a dozen survive each year and the colony has remained stable for the 38 years we have had the ponds. :).

Frogs of all sizes are welcome in our garden.:j

Today , feeling really well , I left with fir ( who has a day off) to do some shopping.....looking for a particular thing.

I felt so good we were laughing and joking about how skippy I was.

About an hour and a half later we were headed home, as I turned for worse. We didn't find what we needed annoyingly. Hopefully we might on Sunday though.

I'm lucky that I can just stay lying down as long as I want /need to today.
  • Sorry you're feeling poorly LiR, hope you get some more energy soon.

My day out went really well, pain and dizzies were managable and I bought a couple of christmas presents and several treats for myself :D and had a lovely natter with my friend.

WaS, I often use walking sticks, it was quite hard to get used to it at first, I'm only 52 and started using a stick about 5 years ago with the dizzy/ balance problems. it makes it so much easier to balance though and also I am always worrying people will think I am drunk when I wobble about. At least a stick shows I am disabled rather than intoxicated and it is a sign to people to give me a bit more time and space although that doesn't always happen. Husband has been using a stick for even longer as he has his own disabilities so there was some familiarity with having sticks about already.
I now have some rather nice flowery walking sticks and people often say they like them, if you're going to have to use one it might as well be pretty :)
