Hahahaha! I shall get WaSp to take some! I sneaked a little even though it isn't chilled yet and it tastes amazing! Now I am sulking that pumpkins are only available once a year, we both want to make more!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Thanks Oldestgnome! Yes weekend was good, a bit mixed, and strange in places. Didn't have any internet access, though!
Have to watch my recording of Dr. Who, as didn't get a chance to see it! No spoilers, please!
WaS you're jolly brave watching horror films. I can't watch any nowadays. Definitely none with lots of dark, unlit rooms and sudden shocks. I can watch eerie/spooky stories that don't have those scares, but are more cerebral, maybe.
I can't watch animal documentaries any more, for fear there are sad bits that show them being killed, especially if it's their young. I just identify with them far too much. Documentaries used to exclude those bits for the most part, but now they include them. I know that the trend is for unsanitised realism, but it means I get much too upset if I watch them. This is a shame, as there are lots of other things in those films that are stunning, but I just can't bear it! Unless it's insects, or some fish. No sea mammals, though!(I just lurve spiders!)

For me, it comes with music. I listen to music all the time but when I stop wanting to or when the music stops in my head, I know I'm in trouble. When I say, stops in my head what I mean is, I have an omnipresent internal jukebox with every song I've ever heard which plays most of the time. My friends love it because all they have to do is say some lyrics to an annoying song and its stuck in my head on a loop. They find this hilarious. I quite like it, there's always music . When I'm very depressed or anxious, the music stops. Yesterday it was replaced by the nasty voice in my head telling me to just kill myself.
Today my ear worm is playing "Make my heart fly" by the Proclaimers. I was singing it at dumbass dog earlier but he didn't seem very impressed by my rendition.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Glad that the music is back again, codemonkey.
WaS, I have been thinking about you all morning so far. Through holding on the phone for another Dr appt for DD, through a very cramped bus journey full of grumbly elderlies (who are usually very cheerful), past a sofa dumped in a hedge, through the vacant stares of supermarket shoppers.
I need to eat and then I will feel better. Whether you get to Mil's or not, just the fact that you are hoping to has cheered me immensely. It's good to dream!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
WaS, may I just say how brilliantly you're doing. You've come so far since you started this thread and have helped so many people. I'm incredibly proud of you, whether you can make it to mil's today or not. Good luck xxEu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

WaS - what codemonkey said about your progress! xxx
All - sorry but I won't be around much for the next few days. I have a rehearsal this evening, then I'm off to Leeds for a conference. Back Wednesday night - but I expect it will be Thursday before I have a chance to do anything sensible like post on here! (Except ooo I might be able to on the train journey down)
