I have experienced all four of those points, whitewing particularly the not realising that you are ill. Fortunately it hasn;t happened for many years now but I have reached a point where I am so unwell that I think that I am fine and would totally disagree that I need help.
Thank you, JM! Yay, it is good for me! I shall steal a bit more. It will never make it into a pie at this rate...Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Late night pumpkin update-too much pumpkin!
We pureed them both and there is loads, we only have one pastry case. Buying two was a mistake as was buying a butternut squash to go into the pie as well and pureeing that, too! WaSp doesn't fancy the idea of pumpkin soup (he isn't a soup kind of person) so I am trying to find an easy recipe for something else to do with it all. Of course, me eating straight out of the bowl isn't outside the realms of possibility...Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Wide awake now after being shattered earlier !
A friend, who I haven't seen for a while, has a son with schizophrenia. he must be about 30 now, every once in a while he finds a girl friend, after a few weeks they decide he needs to come off his medication so he can 'wake up a bit' and get a job. So he stops his medication becomes psychotic and violent and ends up being sectioned and taken to the local Mental Health hospital.
It's very sad, he was a lovely child, a troubled teen and now unable to live alone. He was allocated a flat through some mental health scheme but ended up setting fire to the furniture or something. So my friend had to have him back at home, give up work and become his carer.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -
Do you have a freezer WaS? I'd be freezing the excess veggies for future use.
It's a shame WaSP doesn't like soup as it would be ideal. Frozen could be added to other recipes if you eat stews/ casserole/curry type stuff.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -
Can you put it into cake? You know, like you can with apple cake and carrot cake?
Otherwise, sweetened with honey and used as a dessert with cream or ice cream?
Now must get up, as off to Yorkshire!(I just lurve spiders!)

Ah tode yow it were a bostin way to spake, day I?
Although I am from the West Midlands, I have never lived in the Black Country and I don't speak like that, although I do have a general West Midlands accent.
Apparently Shakespeare spoke with an accent very similar to Black Country.

Maybe a curry with the pumpkin and squash? That's usally my go to for leftovers.
Have a work thing involving socialising tonight, so wish me luck. What I really want to do is go back to bed and have doggy cudles, but that will have to wait til tomorrow. I also need to go and get some false nails because I've bitten mine down to the quick and the only way i will leave them alone to grow is to put falsies over them.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. I am meeting a friend for lunch or coffee today, so that will be good.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

It is handy to have lots of little places to express different feelings, MU, especially if you have one where no one knows you. How is beau these days?
I love pumpkin! I have never tried it before and I have been missing out. I am meant to be making a pie with WaSp but I keep stealing bits. Please don't tell me it is poisonous raw, or something...
Beau is ok, he's a little down atm cos tomorrow is the anniversary of one of his friends who passed awaybut he's coming down to see me so I'm gonna try and be there and take his mind off it if I can, other than that he's ok
I'm getting all excited for Halloween even though I'm not celebrating till tomorrow, I've painted my nails blackwhich is a novelty for me as I rarely get to paint my nails cos of work. And I've bought some red fake eyelashes and some red glitter spray. Not really dressing up but I will be a glittery goth instead xD

Curled up on the settee having doggy cuddles here accompanied by 'not very secret' doodle doo's from the garden. I can't believe it's the end of October and it's still warm enough to sit with the back door open (although can still hear him with door closed).
There is a strange damp patch on front door matguess what is going in the washing machine 'again' !!
