If you're not convinced you can borrow Gitdog. I took him out yesterday to do training in a new place with his harness instead of his head collar. My arms are now so long I look like mr tickle.

WaS- 1/2 pint wonder makes WaSp a very cheap date. Which must mean you should do it twice as often, surely?

We're very lucky with dumbass dog. Doesn't chew anything that isn't his toys or bones, doesn't scratch, walks nicely on the lead, doesn't rake the bin, doesn't counter surf. I'm not convinced he's actually a dog. I forget now that not all dogs are like that.
    Hello all :)

It's raining here too. *ahem* i may have booked myself in for my first tattoo on saturday  i've been toying with getting one for 10 years and fnally found a little design i fell in love with. I still have one ive designed myself in the works, but want to see how i get on with this one first. The beau is coming with me to hold my hand cos im a wimp :p

I'm going to see one of my favourite bands on monday :j So excited! I haven't seen them in 3 years so its going to be fun seeing them again.

Ooh how exciting about the tattoo. Tips: eat something beforehand and 30 minutes or so before your appointment take paracetamol. It does hurt a bit but its not too bad and it becomes almost a pleasant pain if that makes sense. Bepanthen is useful afterwards. And of course, when its done we want to see a photo.

Ooooh, is there a dog tempting you, elsien?

MIL bought WaSp 8 beers, he had 3 and was snoring in the chair! Today he has a headache. We used to go to pubs 5 times a week back when we both young, how times change!

How exciting, MU! Do we get a hint as to what you are getting or is it personal?

Hello haybel! What tattoos do you have? Some are so pretty.
It's a little zombie hello kitty :rotfl:

I like it cos its cute, quirky and a little alhernative (which is i guess how i like to think of myself :o ) plus halloween is my favourite time of year and i think when im old and wrinkly its something i will look back and smile upon.

Thanks for the tips codemonkey! I shall be prepared!

Slightly o9n a different note, my thoughts are drifting back to yesterday and i'm thinking about the homeless woman i wanted to help. She came in and asked for a sausage roll then broke down in tears saying she was homeless. I ended up just telling her she could have it for free, and spent half an hour trying to calm her down and suggest places she could get help. Gave her a cuppa too. In the end my manager called security who sat with her a while then took her some place. I really hope she got help cos she seemed so distraught. :(

  • There's a few designs come up when you google zombie hello kitty :D. I've never even had my ears pierced !! When I was a midwife I used to find it fascinating seeing people's tattoos, especially when the abdominal ones stretched ....and then went back to not quite normal afterwards ! :rotfl: As for body piercings....don't even go there !! Had a hilarious time trying to remove a very intimate piercing before someone gave birth, even the ring cutters from A & E wouldn't budge it  Luckily she was a very laid back lady ...I guess you'd have to be to have something like that installed in the first place ! Nothing phases me, but I opt out of having my own body altered !!

If anybody would like to borrow [STRIKE]Puddles [/STRIKE]/ Full-of-[STRIKE]Poo[/STRIKE]Beans. They are welcome. I had to wash the hall mat 'again' today !! I have just picked up lots of bits of soft toy stuffing from the living room floor and she is dancing up and down demanding food an hour earlier than usual because she doen't realise the clocks have changed !

Will upload a pic when its done :)

I have my ears pierced 7x and my lip pierced, so i'm not too adverse to body mods. Though only bother with my lip these days as its a faff taking out piercings for work. :p

Work are ok with tattoos (and my random coloured hair!) though i'm getting this on my leg so can be hidden if i need to in the future. As much as i'd love tattoos being acceptable everywhere i know its not always the case with a lot of jobs so i'm mindful of where i get them done.

Hello haybel! What tattoos do you have? Some are so pretty.

I have a brightly coloured butterfly on my stomach near my right hip. This one has the most meaning to me- it was my first and celebrated a new beginning.

The second and third were done on the same day a- swirl with butterflies and forget me nots on the side of my arm/wrist and a swirl on my foot that i am bored of and rather think needs jazzing up!! l:rotfl:

My favourite is the one on my tummy- although the wrist one is pretty too. The foot one is not colourful enough I have decided as its more line drawing swirls.

I will definetely have more at some point.. I would love to get my little one's name but not sure where as dont want any more that are permanently on show. Its quiet funny it took my 26 years to get the first - then i got the second for my 30th... and the 3rd half hour after the second! It is addictive. I second codemonkey suggest of bepanthem by far the best thing I found.

I very nearly got a harry potter style phoenix (think book cover) i was going to have the wings spread with lots of bright coloured fire on my thigh- I like the idea of a phoenix rising from the ashes and it was symbolic of a time in my life.

I think this is why i have gone off the tattoo on my foot it has no meaning- I like that there are stories behind the other two- and i think this is why i will have it covered with a new design that has some meaning to me at some point.

I used to hate Wednesdays at college as they were sports afternoons. I thought I was too clumsy and rubbish. Nothing that made me feel inadequate as all the fit, healthy, gorgeous people running around. Now I realise that I was so poorly that my perspective was skewed.

I like Wednesdays now. Work tends to be calmer as it is the middle of the week.

    Happy Wednesday, everyone.

What do you think of the Samaritans twitter app?

Hmmm, they'll probably waste a lot of time on teenage drama queens and those people that post those kind of messages on facebook for attention.

Drama queen: so sad and alone.
    Friend 1: whats up hunni
    Drama queen: I'll PM you.

However, even if it helps one person its probably worth it.

  • I've never seen the point of the Samaritans, when I am low I go quiet, the worse I feel the less I say. I never admit to feeling suicidal, I would just creep off and 'do it'.

When I was seen by the community mental health people they question you about suicidal feelings and ask about suicide plans' to my mind that is a bit like asking about your s3x life, it's not something I want to talk about it's so personal.

Then again, some people I know never stop talking so maybe they would feel better talking things through..... not me though :(
