I would love a cuckoo clock, although it has just occurred to me that that may not be an appropriate comment for this thread. Just as well we can laugh at ourselves.

    Tweet tweet! (Crazy cuckoo!)

I love cuckoo clocks! I've got three! Two used to work but don't any more. The one that has never worked is a German Black Forest one, I think. I do miss them working. :(

I was just thinking that WaS could probably start her business by repairing your clocks, my DH's watch etc...

    Oh, kiwi is green tonight.

I cut the grass earlier then the dogs spent a clue of hours playing rough and he got rolled around in the grass A lot, ( he likes this) and now he is a sort of dingy moss colour. Usually just his feet go green, but he is now more elfin than ever before.

  • That is wonderful, Pyxis! I have always wanted a cukcoo clock! And one of those little weather contraptions where people come out of little doors depending on what the weather was doing. I can't remember what they are called but they used to fascinate me as a child. I have also always wanted a set of Russian dolls with all of the different sizes.

How cute, LIR! I can just imagine a green kiwi, that is totally appropriate!

Lir, I would have suggested a hot toddy, but I'm guessing that's also out. Do you ever do herbal type drinks - thinking lemon and ginger for a cold?
Slightly off topic, but when I was off work with depression I started going for aromatherapy massages to help me relax. I was sceptical about aromatherapy but decided that a pleasant smelling massage was fine by me. One time I went I couldn't get warm so she used ginger. I was sweating buckets for a week afterwards. At which point I decided that I really didn't care if it was a placebo effect or not as long as it had an effect!

  • Another big gitdog fan here :D I would love a little shadow like that.

I used to have a little ginger cat, inherited from an Indian friend. He had to get rid of the cat because he (the cat) chased his wife's sari the whole time. By the time the little cat came to me he was rather distrusting - I think he had been nudged out of the way with a foot once too often. However, he turned into the most loving cat once he got used to trusting once again :)

Ginger and lemon sounds a great stand in for lemsip! And yes, I drink herbal stuff. My most common daily hot drink is hot water with a spring of rosemary and I grab sprigs of stuff fir my cold water often. :)

Sticky got dog sounds lovely. Mine were like that today after a less cuddly Saturday.
