We've had a really lazy loving day. All we did that wax practical was plant garlic. Its been fabulous.
I really do have a very, very lucky life, and I'm not complaining at all, but it think its easy to forget how much 'base level' stress there is in the way fir and I have our living arrangements at times, for both of us. The alternatives have proved stressful too though, so.....
Those of you who have partners at home daily I beg you to make effort not to take that for granted!
Right, so, I better think about supper at some point. My dogs are all grumpy because they've not had enough time with us today. We'll spend the evening with them, and make sure they are busier tomorrow, poor things.0 -
Aw, what a lovely post, LIR, I am glad that you had such a good day. I would never for granted that I see WaSp everyday, everything feels better when I hear his key in the door. Having said that I have just woken up after a nap and he's out! No idea where - the mysterious, missing WaSp! I could always text and find out but he'll be back in time for Doctor Who so no problem. Sometimes he just likes to go for a drive where he doesn't have a destination in mind just to relax and have a bit of time to himself. I totally understand that and do try not to contact him when he does.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Yes, I can spot when DH needs a bit of alone time, even if it's just in the house when I am in the bedroom.
I met a lovely lady at work today. It's great to meet people without all the anxiety-crap in my head.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Aw, how lovely, whitewing!
WaSp really gets no time alone at all other than driving between MIL and I and then he's always rushing to get to us. He sometimes just likes to drive down country lanes and stop and have a coffee while listening to music and just relax for a bit. I always try to give him a few hours to just relax alone when he wants it, the poor man is always rushing and caring for both of us, he needs a few hours break sometimes.
Aw, he is back and he bought me a coffee. I usually have cheap 50p smartprice instant coffee but he brought me back a posh one! I feel spoilt! I do love proper coffee, I just save it for WaSp as he needs it more so this is an indulgence!

I had a nap this afternoon, having been at work until 3.30ish. Woke up in time for X factor - have watched it for years and years. (I never did like Dr Who).

When I could listen to music I used to watch it, too!
WaSp has ground coffee but I just buy cheap instant for me. A posh coffee was a very welcome luxury!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I was up at the crack of dawn as DD has a cough and tummy ache and sniffles. DH has been up in the night about 3 times with her and has now gone off to work looking very pale.
We are supposed to be going to a birthday party this afternoon. I hope we manage to have a nap before then.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Hi MessedUp! Glad things are ok again with Beau! He sounds very understanding! You may have found yourself a gem!
whitewing I hope your DD is ok for the party. Sounds like you had a bad night.I had a funny night for a very different reason! Was out doing an AmDram thing and got back quite late, but was still running on Adrenalin, so made some food and went up to bed to catch up on TV and MSE. Then was in bed watching Doctor Who and dozed off over the iPad. Woke up at 2am with TV on, and still holding the iPad and stylus! So it took me a while to get off again and finally woke at 8.45!!
That's middle of the day for me, normally! I feel like I've lost half the day, especially as I've got more lines to learn for a family evening coming up very soon! Gulp!(I just lurve spiders!)

Morning insomniacs and late starters alike. Sun is shining and I'm having a 5 minute breather as the weekends gone pear shaped.
Was meant to be sitting an elderly relative with Alzheimer's while his wife had down time with mum - theyre staying with her for the weekend. Except mum is poorly and stuck in bed so I've been running in circles trying to sort all 3 and still give auntie a break. Alzheimer's is a cruel cruel illness. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
