0ystercatcher, I'm glad to hear that you don't murder axes!
It is hard sometimes not to want to take the friendships on to the next level. I'd love DD to meet WaS. She wants to sit under a blanket next to her!
I'd had perfectly sensible conversations in real life with people before, telling them about various things that my friends have said or done. The looks I get when they ask 'What's your friend called?' and I blush and say. 'ittybittyboomboom' or some other random username.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Actually, I am an axe murderer. Just kidding. The way I feel today, I couldn't lift an axe, let alone murder someone with it. You're all safe with me.
I used to do an exercise program called shovelglove. To do shovelglove you get a sledgehammer, wrap it up to cushion it so you can't hurt yourself with it and you perform a series of movements such as digging, churning the butter etc for 14 minutes. So in my cupboard I have a sledgehammer wrapped up in some old clothes. That probably looks a bit dodgy.
Ok, this probably isn't reassuring anyone, so to make it clear, I don't know any of your addresses and I mean no harm.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
After all the warnings I will just add that I met my husband through chatting on a newsgroup. Newsgroups were what people used in the late 90's before forums became widespread. We weren't looking for love or planning to meet but after making friends and weeks of chatting we eventually decided we had so much in common we had to meet. I was very anxious and double checking all sorts of things he said and I even contacted his ex to make sure he wasn't violent. Fortunately he was very understanding with my worries and just stated he would wait until I was ready .
Our first date was London Zoo, nice and public it still took me weeks to trust him properly so we met in various London public places. Quite an achievement for me as I have always had a bit of a phobia of London and other big cities . We've been married for 10 years now and despite the insecurities I reckon we're very happy and settled.Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -
One thing I do like about making 'friends' on this and other threads is that you can get to know the personality presented, without any preconceived ideas arising out of appearance, age, location, job, etc etc. It's a fascinating way to build up 'relationships' with others but working 'blind', so to speak.
It's also rather nice that you can hold dialogues with people from all over the country, all walks of life, different age groups etc.. I've learned quite a few things about everyday life in other parts of the country, and different expressions of speech. Fascinating stuff!(I just lurve spiders!)

DD and I have just made a Victoria Sandwich - anyone care for a slice?
She keeps saying, why are you laughing? How could anyone not laugh at the thought of someone trying to explain away a cushioned sledgehammer in their cupboard.
Saying it was for shovelglove would not be reassuring as I've never heard of it. *Goes off to google*
It's World Mental Health Day on 10 October and this year's theme is raising awareness of schizophrenia (according to a freebie magazine that has just come through my door). We should keep an eye out. (Not an actual eye - now I am paranoid that I am upsetting literal people).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Hope everyone's well. I'm tired after my exciting day yesterday, will report back later. I think my raving lunatic behaviour completely & utterly wore me out0 -

Just wanted to say, after all health moaning I have got loads done to day, possibly more than any other day this year. Was great to be out side with my dogs and seeing loads of the horses and working.
Body disagrees this afternoon, but I have really enjoyed it!
Hope I can move tomorrow!0 -
