  • Frm what I understand from DH, the main disadvantage of not logging out of sites is that if anyone hacks the site and is a really determined hacker they might hack you as well. I consider the chance of this negligible with MSE.

pyxis, my DH is so impressed that you have been in the same area as a Mr Bean filming. Even I know the scene that you are talking about.

It is a grim day here and I need a raincoat. It needs to be plus size and preferably down past my bottom. Not black or grim colours - something cheerful. Any ideas anyone?
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

I've bought two from Cotton Traders. One, which I've had for several years, is the Windermere totally waterproof raincoat, which comes in two lengths and a number of colours. Beware cheaper imitations because they're not as good, as a friend of mine found out.

Just recently I also wanted another of their packaway macs, to take on holiday, put in bags etc. They no longer made the one I'd bought about 5years ago, but they do a similar one , either a short or long one, with hood etc., either in a blue/white polka dot or a pale one with 'drawings' of flowers. Can't remember the prices offhand, but they're on the Cotton Traders website. Although I haven't worn the new one yet, I've been pleased with them in the past.

The Mr. Bean thing was a long time ago....it must have been about 1994!

I can recommend Cotton Traders too, their clothes are excellent quality.

I'm well impressed Jojo! I've done a few things in my time but heights ain't one of them. I did the sky walk in Madeira, well, I clung to the rail for dear life :o I'm almost sick if I peer out of the window of a tall building, 3 rungs up the ladder & that's me.

Where are you going on holiday oldestgnome?

    Hi all :D

it in exchange for a bit of errr something you smoke!

Do they do e-cigs for that?:D

I access this site from my phone, tablet and laptop so even if I log out of one it still shows me logged in somewhere else. I don't really live here 24/7, honest!

Morning lurkers. :) Morning everyone. I am feeling pleased with myself because I have got to week 4 of couch to 5K. I suspect this may change once bad weather kicks in.:o

Edit ebay 261596731510, what were you looking for? (You don'thave to say on a public forum :rotfl:) Picture 4 gets my vote. Would it be very mean if I said it reminds me of a woman I used to work for?

WaS, your ecig story of buying forever reminded me of my Dad. He bought us kids comics from the same newsagent for around 20 years as he didn't like to cancel due to being a customer for so many years.

Talk of elsien's job search, & whitewing's comments also reminded me of a funny story. Someone rang the company I worked for one morning & said that John Durban wouldn't be in that day as he was ill. I said that I'd never heard of him & asked if he worked directly for us or was he a sub contractor. After a bit of thought it suddenly dawned on me that she was talking about the chap I only ever knew as Dobin (Durban) as we called him. I felt such a fool after I'd excitedly shouted down the phone ''Oh you mean Dobin''. :rotfl:

Oh I won an expensive watch few days ago, very pleased with myself :D
