The thread wouldn't be what it is without you and your honesty and openness. Post away.
And while on the subject of gadgets and gizmos, I do happen to have a mini battery operated Henry to clean my computer keyboard with. It was a gift, I didn't buy it myself.(and who wondered where I was going with the words battery operated??)

  • WaS, if you're not able to post, maybe just click on the odd thanks button, so we know you're out there?

You are like the hub in the wheel of this thread, it may evolve or revolve around you, but it has taken on a bigger meaning now. You are reaching out to so many from your laptop, with help from Pug & WaSp of course. We are solid, real people out here, with dogs & kids and backache and dinner to cook, we have all made the choice to join in & remain on the thread because we like to. Because we learn, and laugh, and support. No matter what those daft voices say, we are here, we like your posts.

Now have a glass of water!

  • Aw, thank you, it is so comforting to know everyone is here, I really mean that. In some ways I would take a psychotic episode over the paranoia, it is like floating on the cusp of being psychotic but it doesn't get worse which means it tends not to get better either. My mothers voice has been around a lot which is the worse one for me, She tells me that all I do is hurt people and people will see through me soon and realise how bad I really am. It is much harder to remember that her voice isn't real than the others.

I need to email my teacher friend and best friend because they are both panicking, I haven't spoken to them either. I feel like just apologising for being me and any worry that I have ever put them through but that's sill and talking from the point of view of my illness. WaSp thinks I am like this due to BIL which was a huge trigger but it isn't that anymore, it has caused a chemical imbalance now, plus all of the trips out the previous week didn't help.

My psychiatrist emailed back and said increase the morning dose of anti-psychotics by 50mgs until it passes and reminded me to fill in my forms for him because this is the sort of thing he was waiting for. He also put in capitals at the bottom of the email YOU ARE NOT GOING MAD which was rather sweet, he tends to do that when he knows things are rough for me and it's a human touch.

TOTM started, too which means the PMS has eased a bit, that certainly wasn't helping at all. I took Sir Pugliet to bed with me last night and cuddled him like a little child, I woke up with him tucked underneath my chin. He represents all of you to me so he is a great comfort.

I am having a glass of water!

Poor Kiwi! Will he be ok with you trimming him yourself, LIR? I am used to cats who tend to have a huge problem with things like that. I used to have shave my cat's patch of fur her dialysis injections and although she let me do it there was much struggling and her hiding the moment she saw the razor.

    I've been Money Tipped!
He doesn't like me trimming him, and more to the point, my back and legs and arms don't much like it. But really, he looks a bit too silly for words. It was lovely for dog dog and I to have some time together with out the others too, she helped me clean the stairs, she ate a ham sandwich and she danced in all the empty rooms.
  • Aw, she had mummy all to herself. I am giggling at the ham sandwich. Once I was taking my dinner plate of freshly cooked fish to the table and one of my cats managed to take a flying leap off of the stairs, swipe the fish straight off of my plate in mid-air and then ran for her life. I didn't have the heart to take it from her after she had clearly worked out such an ambitious plan to get it and besides, I was laughing too much.

  • Hello all! I am just having a short break - the presentation this morning went OK, I think. Now I have to prepare for The Other Presentation (actually a talk at a conference) tomorrow.

I thought I might tell you a story about this morning, so that you can see how much good this thread does. And throw this story at your voices, WaS, because it shows

    - that the thread is doing good and spreading
    - that the thing I am talking about in this story ISN'T one of your posts or anything directly to do with you. So how can this thread be you being selfish? Let us know what the voices have to say about THAT!

We were talking about being nervous about the presentation, this morning. 'We' being me and two people who have mental health problems, who were both representing their respective organisations. And I remembered that someone (sorry I can't remember who, without looking it up, but THANK YOU) had posted that lovely speech from Doctor Who. Fear makes you stronger. It makes you run faster and jump higher. So we all shared that, directly from the thread (which I told them about). And we all found it useful.

    THANK YOU TEAM WaS!

WaS - glad to see you posting even if things are tough. We are all here for support, how you were here for me earlier in the week. Thank you for your support and tell the voices to s*d off from me as I valued your kind words.

Well done JM, it was Pyxis :)

Hey, feeling a bit delicate, the whole good thing has come to an end (apparently the distance was a dealbreaker) so yeah, back to square one :(
