  • Chilli liquorice is little tubes with a hint of chilli! They taste pretty much like normal liquorice sweeties until you get to the end and then they have a slight burn in your mouth and throat! They are yummy! I also bought chocolate coated liquorice which has a truffle outer-coating, also yummy! They were bought mainly as a treat for WaSp with 10 bars for £1 of children's soft liquorice bars just to make the weight up. Guess which he prefers?

You could always delete anything you don't want your friend to see, LIR? I am sure no one here would mind. She is more than welcome if it doesn't make you or her uncomfortable?

Oooo, it's very exciting when the food comes from AF isn't it! Enjoy your unpacking (altho we always think 'where ON EARTH are we going to put it all')

Good luck with your date, MU! :D

Yes, deleting anything you want to edit sounds like a good idea, LiR. You might like to show her some threads that aren't as nice as this one, as well, so she doesn't get an unrealistic expectation. We know how good this forum can be, but sadly it isn't always like that (hence the dead troll in my avatar lololol)

    Sensible MU, enjoy!

I was just thinking of your surveyor WaS, take a photo of him so we can see, only kiddin' :rotfl: It reminded me of an incident many years ago where the Job Centre sent me for an interview. I didn't want the job as I'd been offered another one but the contract didn't start for a few weeks, & I was reluctant to take a job for just a few weeks & one that I wasn't serious about. So I was planning on being a bit rude & waltzing in & asking for old man Smith .... However, when I actually got there I came face to face with the most delicious of men :o Once I'd explained the situation he was lovely to me & agreed that we could tell JC that I was unsuitable.

dibuzz have you tried lying on your back, hands on stomach just below navel, then breath in 3, out 4? This actually works for me sometimes, but not all of the time. Before my counselor told me about this I used to lie all curled up, rigid, jaws clenched so tight, & I never even realised. I'm talking about sleeping in case anyone wondered, i just forgot to mention this :-/

Where do you get the food from WaS & JM? I love really strong flavours & anything different :-)'''

Just for fun, contents of my Approved Food lucky Box-
    Double chocolate muffin cake mix
    3 cartons of orange juice
    Some indian snack mix
    A mint chocolate bar
    A tube of mustard
A large pack of monkey nuts
and wait for it...Two pairs of reading glasses!

All of these were free with a £25 order, you just can't choose what you get. Reading glasses?! Luckily WaSp needed some so is overjoyed and they work fine for him!

It is all from a site called Approved Food, Duke. They sell slightly out of or close to best before date stock or bankrupt stock where the packaging or size has changed so supermarkets can't sell what's left anymore. It hugely tops up my weekly shop with things there is no way that I could afford otherwise.

Now I need to pack it all away.

WOW sound alright to me WaS, although the glasses made me :rotfl: But if they come in handy ...

Just pulled muscles doing a rain dance as a wasp flew in & began circling me in a vicious manner, I've since let it out of the window.

Re-posting of the Thread Etiquette. A bit late! Can't believe how the thread has run on so far!

Here is the suggested THREAD ETIQUETTE. By following this etiquette, all posters, whether new or existing, will feel safe, unpressured and respected..

    - This is a thread for support. We have discovered some good friends on here, but we promise always to welcome and include new people, and not to be cliquey.

    - People may make suggestions to help each other, and might even ask if the suggestions were helpful or have been carried out, but we'll really try not to nag each other or put too much pressure on.

    - The normal board rules about sexism, racism, homophobia etc. apply, but if we are careful we should be able to discuss almost anything without breaching board rules - so far we have discussed subjects ranging from child abuse to incontinence!

-If someone thinks that too much pressure is being applied, they can post the trigger word PENGUIN and flag up the fact that they believe there's a potential for someone feeling too nagged to do something. ANYONE could post PENGUIN if they felt there was a danger that suggestions were being enforced too much.

    - If you think something might be a PENGUIN, please post something like the green bit which follows.

"I would like to discuss something to do with [insert subject here], but I am concerned that this might be a trigger for some people. Is everyone OK if I post about that?"

Then LEAVE IT for at least an hour to allow people to respond. Then, when you post, repost the word PENGUIN above the discussion. Then post the penguiny bit in white! And the phrase END OF PENGUIN when you have finished.

It will look like this. You will be able to see the white text if you highlight it or if you quote it (so please don't quote a penguin!)

    PENGUIN

This is a penguin. A nasty, crotch biting penguin (CBT).
It isn't really, you can look

    END OF PENGUIN

IMPORTANT: It has been ascertained that some posters to this thread have found that there are certain subjects which act as triggers, precipitating a worsening of their condition.
To protect these posters, you are respectfully requested NOT to discuss these subjects on this thread:-

Religion. (Please note: it is recognised that everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and we respect those beliefs. It is only because of the fact that religion does act as a trigger for some posters, that we exclude it from discussion.)

The afterlife. The reason for this is explained in this thread by one poster, and there will be others for whom this is a trigger.

We ask and thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

    .........:starmod:.....................................................................:starmod:................

    - More suggestions please.............We stress that we are suggesting that we AGREE some Thread Etiquette to HELP people who might feel anxious about posting, we are not trying to IMPOSE rules, just relating this to facilitating groups, so that people feel safe and able to participate as fully as they can.
