Also, if you don't want to wake WaSp, could he record himself talking to you, telling you you're real, etc? Then you could play it back to yourself. Or would that seem too much like disembodied voices?(I just lurve spiders!)

WaS you are real and did brilliantly to get through last night so well. xxxxx And a crisis box sounds a WONDERFUL idea!
Sorry, in a big rush - will post more this afternoon. (Long day, evening mtg as well)
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
I love the idea of crisis box! That was exactly the sort of think that I was thinking of to try and gather things together to help me stay focused. I think a recording of WaSp would be fine for me, it is a really good idea. Hand cream is also a good idea as I habit of wringing my hands when I am anxious, plus it will smell nice. I contemplated a scented candle or incense last night but really didn't trust myself with a flame. The silk scarf can go on my Christmas list for WaSp, he is getting quite a selection to choose from thanks to this thread!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

See, the birds are singing, and the neighbour above is probably farting in the shower!
Put a bottle of water in your crisis box, to remind you to have a drink with every dose you allow yourself.
Press send after each ramble, then those of us awake can respond.
Actually, there's an idea, can the other insomniacs just put on a little message every hour or so anyway, a little picture or joke, my guess is there are lurkers as well as WaS who could appreciate knowing someone is on the end of the keyboard. Pug was obviously composing a message too.Deal with things as they are, not as they should be.0 -
I did miss drinking entirely last night so a bottle of water is a good idea, I am making up for it now though, the pills do dehydrate me a lot.
That isn't a bad about posting at night, actually. I am almost always up late so I could post something every now and then. Of course, no one has to but it could be comforting for we night owls. If anyone does post at night and I happen to be happen to be having a bad time please don't anyone feel that they have to sit up for my sake. That would just make me feel even more guilty. I would be more than grateful for just a little wave as people drift through.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I survived my appointment!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Yes, just what was Pugliet posting? And to whom? Is there a lady Pugliette in the frame?
Other things for the box - a squidgy ball to squeeze.
A nutty bar to nibble on - nibbling might deflect some thoughts too.
A shell?
A bead necklace to fiddle with?
A pack of soothing wet wipes for your forehead?
One of those instant hot packs, where you press a button and it heats up. ( Get a reusable one).
A pack of fruit gums in case your mouth gets dry. (Or even if it doesn't!)
Lip salve.
More nice smell things. As well as orange oil, maybe grapefruit? And cedar wood is nice, and lavender, and beeswax!
Another thing for WaSp to do - could he write you a letter in his own handwriting, as well as recording his voice, to reassure you that you are real, and that anything or anyone you are seeing is not real, that the voices are lying, etc., that nothing is your fault, etc. then you would have both an auditory and a visual reassurance in the box.(I just lurve spiders!)

Bra update. The other day, as m and s seemed to have sold out of every thing in liked in my size I bought a bra at tesco. Its too big ( i e I am wearing it on tightest clasps. But will pad out collection of underwear till I can get something else. I only keep a few at a time in case some of my medication works sometime and my metabolism works again and I lose weight. So one is always the key one that is best and hasn't lost most of its oomph.
I do have a friend who runs an lingerie shop but would rather keep it less personal. The stress of it all will see me buying stuff I don't like.0
