    I've been Money Tipped!
    Seven day,

Just my brief experience of depression knocked want to cook ( something that's quite intrinsic to me, even when I don't eat I cook) out of me. The anti depressants have helped a lot but one of the pills I am on for my physical condition can cause anorexia. Its hard to get past the hump.

What I'm doing ATM is trying to makes the effort for the days my husband is home, but then I don't bother for the rest of the time.

I am making jam on Monday . I am hoping this is a bit of a slump breaker.

Dibuzz, do you think that hypnotherapy might help?

I don't know, maybe it would be worth a try.

The other thing I would say is that I know the GP said four weeks but I think under the circumstances and length of time this has been going on, it would not be unacceptable to make an appt sooner to go back and say you really couldn't cope for much longer.

I am concerned for you that you have mentioned daily life ( which obvious cannot cease entirely) but driving and carrying on a family with SO little sleep is going to be almost impossible.

I am concerned for you firstly, but also those around you while you try to operate on so little sleep. I hope that's not a penguin. :(

According to today's scales, I have lost 24.2 lbs since I changed my medication, and have been out in the sunshine more (I heard that infrared light helps weight loss) and swapped milky tea and coffee for green tea without sugar.

So I have had bacon rolls in bed to celebrate.

I am going to a family party today with DD. DH will pop along later. And I feel okay about it. All extremely lovely people individually. It's one of these open house events so I don't know exactly who will be there. I don't think most of them have seen DD. She is at that age where she is fascinated by who is whose daddy, sister, aunty etc. I am pleased that I now feel good enough to be in a crowd of people.

That's great whitewing, I've lost 2 stone 3lbs since changing meds mainly due to not being constantly hungry like I was on the old ones.

Thanks, dibuzz. I was what my friend calls 'mouth hungry' on the old tablets - and also before the old tablets - and shovelled vast quantities in. I also cleared my plate always. Mouth hungry is not the same as actual hunger ie I was never empty enough to actually feel hungry.

I still have a disconnect between what potions I think I want, and what I actually eat now. So I threw away half my rice last night. It's wasteful but I think it will take me a lot longer to adjust my habits otherwise. Better in the bin than on me, although ultimately I'd like to cut spending by buying what I will eat.

That's what I was like, I knew I didn't really want it but just had to have it.
Now I don't even want chocolate or sweet stuff very often.

I don't like the rest of the side effects but can definitely live with that one :)
