  • Don't forget you can buy footwear from Cosyfeet VAT free, also you can order online & return if not suitable. They even have a sale on at the moment!
I could never wear toe post sandals either, but I have been known to put a plaster between my toes where the post touches and that saved me from blisters after 5 minutes. Tricky to place between your toes though!
Deal with things as they are, not as they should be.
  • Ah, that's a 7 before my feet swell in the days when I could wear pretty shoes. They are probably at least a size larger after swelling. Anything with high tops is out of the question, too as my ankles swell even more than my feet. I can't even manage a 2 inch heel and I used to be able to wear 5 inch ones with pointy toes in day to day life. It's annoying, I like girly shoes!

It would be worth mentioning the swelling to the doctor. It looks like there is a subtype of swelling called angioedema that is related to autoimmune disorders. Maybe they can do something. My feet swell sometimes but not that much.

talking of feet...i stubbed my big toe earlier bending the nail back and it has gone a bit black and is very painful. I cannot bear anything to touch my toe not even a sock let alone bed covers... I think I have come out in sympathy for WaS and JM... and it really really hurts!!! How can something so small hurt so much?!!!!

How is your toe, haybel, time for the doctor's appointment maybe?

Good morning everyone. Lovely blue skies here today.

They always do! Sounds particularly bad though.

Probably worth having it checked. DH broke a big toe playing foot ball badly and barefoot, because it didn't set well it still hurts occasionally, nothing dreadful, but worth checking. Toenails that separate from trauma are best checked too. :) ( from experience o not having one checked and now wish I had done :) )

    I missed a trick yesterday.
I haven't been able to find a pug in Poundland yet. However, I was in a charity shop and found a top I liked, so went to the till to pay. In front of me was a woman buying 3 or 4 soft toys, and one of them was a pug! Brand new, £1.99! I wailed that I was looking for a pug, but all she said was that it was the last one! I was hoping she'd relinquish it to me, but she didn't!
    Boo hoo!
I hadn't thought to take a look in the toy section! :(

Just found this quote on Facebook. I like it a lot, except that I think we're a family rather than a tribe!

What about Birkenstocks, I have the mules and find them really comfy, they also give the base of your feet support.

I have very broad feet and find these perfect. You can also alter the strap over the top so as your feet swell you could make a bit more room.

I think if you shop around you can get them cheaper than the above.

I also can't wear flip flops as the thing between the toe causes so much pain even after a few minutes of having them on.
