Oooh, faeries! I like faeries and gnomes and elves so that is popular with me already.
Totally off-topic I have always wanted a garden gnome. I don't have a garden and have never had one but I still want one to stand in the corner of my room next to my faerie door. WaSp refuses to buy me one as he thinks it is a waste of money, he's wrong!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I've got gnomes!
Not the horrid Disney ones, but old repros of Victorian ones. I say old repros, because they probably date from the 50s, but are casts or copies of the trad Victorian ones, and are a bit battered and worn, which adds to their charm
There's a fishing one and a lying down one and a sitting one, and a few others. I'll see if I can find pics.(I just lurve spiders!)

I'm in a clique! It's a clique of one! It's a unique clique!
I love :eek:0 -
A friend of mine wanted to start making Gnaughtygomes - peeing in the wishing well etcDeal with things as they are, not as they should be.0

They sound amazing! That's the sort of gnome I want, not a modern plasticy type one but one of the older ones. i have wanted one since I was a little girl and my parents also refused to get me one as they didn't have a garden. Why does everyone think you need a garden for these things? I stand by the fact that you just need a faerie door for them to pass through if they wish to!
Hahahahaha I love that Solar! Have you ever seen the naughty teddy bears? They are on ebay but I won't link as some are very adult and quite rude (I love them though).Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I found these on eBay, and they are the same as two of mine, which are equally battered!(I just lurve spiders!)

Awww, they are just adorable! Exactly the sort of gnome I want! They should be a bit battered to show they have lived and been loved!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I don't have gnomes but I have dragons, griffins and gargoyles.
Reverting briefly back to theramins, Bill Bailey does brilliant things with these. I remember going to see him at the NIA and he finished the show doing a circuit of the auditorium on a kirby trouser press. Sheer genius. (Although I suspect you may have had to be there.)

http://gnomemiracle.com/chia-gnome-beard-kit/ This has a function.
You can find indoor gnomes on google.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I never knew there were indoor gnomes!
Dragons are good too! I have an indoor water fountain which is a dragon standing on a cliff next to a crystal that changes colours. There is a waterfall down the side of the cliff which falls into a pool and gives off mist. You can add essential oils to it and it is so relaxing to watch and listen to.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

This was just posted on the thread for soothing music.
It's only moderately upbeat, but you can still dance to it! It's Mandolin Music for Medieval Faeries!

This site never ceases to amaze me with some of the things that people manage to find.
WAS, your fountain sounds very soothing. I suspect it would be less relaxing in my house due to the maniac tendencies of the lovely Gitdog.
I made the mistake yesterday of taking him on a pre-breakfast walk through the market. We got past the butcher's van safely, the pie stall was a step too far.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
