  • I have been thinking about music and I might be able to listen to it as long as it is one instrument and an upbeat tune. The problem with sounds is I don't have the switch that allows me to concentrate on one at a time, all sounds are the same level to me and I can't filter them out so it comes over as very loud and very confused as my brain tries to separate it. For example, if someone is using a lawnmower and WaSp speaks it physically hurts my head because his voice sounds like the same pitch and loudness as the lawnmower and I can't define between them. It's hard to describe, the quote from Whitewing's link that said a bee sounds like a jet engine is a good example, all sounds have equal loudness to me, crowds are impossible.

  • Thank you, Pyxis! Therabands look possible especially as I could do it sitting down. My legs shake uncontrollably if I stand for more than 5 minutes and I will fall over if I don't sit down. It is purely muscle weakness, the muscles just won't bear my weight anymore. I sound such a mess writing all of this down and it is all my own fault...

How about an Irish jig played on one pipe, or one fiddle?

Found this in iTunes.. It's not a link, but it's just one flute playing, so may fit the bill. I only listened to one tune, but they're solos.

'Jig of the Irish', Justin Harden, flute solos from around the world.

I've just previewed the other tunes on the album, but only 'Jig of the Irish' is upbeat. You can buy it as a single in iTunes.

  • You are doing so well, dibuzz. I would be dribbling in the corner by now. I am crossing everything for your doctors appointment tomorrow.

That could work, Pyxis! There is no reason why isolated sounds shouldn't be ok.

This was just posted on the thread for soothing music.
It's only moderately upbeat, but you can still dance to it! It's Mandolin Music for Medieval Faeries!
