Just needed to be heard for a little while

I have been thinking about music and I might be able to listen to it as long as it is one instrument and an upbeat tune. The problem with sounds is I don't have the switch that allows me to concentrate on one at a time, all sounds are the same level to me and I can't filter them out so it comes over as very loud and very confused as my brain tries to separate it. For example, if someone is using a lawnmower and WaSp speaks it physically hurts my head because his voice sounds like the same pitch and loudness as the lawnmower and I can't define between them. It's hard to describe, the quote from Whitewing's link that said a bee sounds like a jet engine is a good example, all sounds have equal loudness to me, crowds are impossible.

Thank you, Pyxis! Therabands look possible especially as I could do it sitting down. My legs shake uncontrollably if I stand for more than 5 minutes and I will fall over if I don't sit down. It is purely muscle weakness, the muscles just won't bear my weight anymore. I sound such a mess writing all of this down and it is all my own fault...
