Today is a better day
Trying to distract myself. I tidied my room  can actually see the floor nowand I'm going to the cinema in a bit, need to get out of the house and there is something peaceful at losing myself in a film

I am better, it wasn't cancer! Don't panic everyone! Oh, that was just me then...
I haven't had genetic testing, whitewing. As you say it wasn't really available when I was diagnosed. I would have it done given half the chance, though as I am sure my mental health and autoimmune conditions are linked and I am curious as to how.
LIR, well done on getting so much done! Yes, I would freak if I could feel a lump! Have you named it? Having said that Cynthia cyst has developed a small friend on my leg. Perhaps I am turning into a giant water cyst. They don't make me panic as I have already been told that they are harmless but they itch so much!
Soak your feet, JM! I am sure the worse pains in the world are toothache and feet blisters. I used to get a lot of blisters in my upper teenage years because my feet are size 7 and I used to think that they were too big so I tried to convince myself that they were really a size 6. Oh, the agony!
I am so glad things are better today, MU! Tidy is good! Now you get to reward yourself with an evening out.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I know I had sent special greetings to LiR (I think when I posted this morning I had forgotten I'd posted yesterday. Yes, I am THAT brain dead!) Anyway, LiR, I think you ought to take your fibroid/cyst on a little outing to the doctor's so that your Dr can enjoy feeling it as well - I don't think you ought to keep all the fun to yourself!
Hope the curry was worth it, WaS - I expect it was (curry! Yum! And here's me on a fast day!)
I went into London today for a meeting and had a serious wardrobe malfunction. My shoes, which I swear I have worn without tights before, ganged up on my feet and decided to rip the skin off them. By the time I arrived at Marylebone I was in such pain I popped my shoes in my bag and walked from the station to Church Street (about 3/4 mile) in bare feet. So if you saw someone walking through central London in bare feet today, that was probably me. Fortunately I managed to buy some sandals and clean my feet up reasonably before the meeting
Yes, drs know about my lump. Its been there a while and this year while I had MRI and cts they in cluded that and other bits and bobs. I just cannot remember which non serious thing it is. I think its a massive cyst.
I get blistered feet easily too. In familiar shoes. Just worth noting if your feet might be swelling it might be worth paying attention too.
Or...could be because you haven't worn them for a long time.
Before I flunked out on health grounds I have walked through many cities barefoot.0 -

I always find that I feel better when I can see the chairs etc from underneath the piles of coats, newspapers, shopping that I've walked in and dumped.......I keep resolving to have a mini tidy every day because it makes me feel less overwhelmed but as always there's a bit of a gap between the theory and the action.
What film are you going to see? - it's a couple of months now since I last went and I never think to check what's on the holidays because I presume it's just children's films which probably isn't the case.
My news for the day is that I submitted a CV and got a call to go in for a chat. Not sure it's a job I really want, as I'm applying for things to get interview practice, but it's a confidence booster knowing that the work on my CV has paid off and was worth the effort. Now I'm just going to get really nervous about how I come across in person instead.:rotfl:All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Ooo, well done Elsien.
The meeting I went to today was about getting people back into work. The company I saw has a very innovative approach, and amongst other things they send people into shops to watch employees doing the job they are applying for, and they go with a certain brief (e.g. 'describe to the group what the employees did when things got busy'). Sounded excellent to me - I can just see that describing aspects of the perceived job to others might spark off all sorts of stuff! I'm still considering what I can apply from it to my own life, but thought I'd throw it in, in case you can think about it and come up with something brilliant as wellEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Well done elsien! You must have come across very well!
That's a brilliant idea JM, we did something similar when I trained for the HIV/AIDS charity. You spent a weekend shadowing various people in different roles and were able to ask them questions as they worked. At the end of it you chose the role that most appealed to you. It was far better than just starting a position and not knowing how it worked, more companies should do it.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I should try and tidy more often, it's the first thing that goes to pot when my mood gets bad, lol there's something there about having a messy mind thus a messy room.
Well done on submitting your cv and for hearing back! Obviously you are doing something right if try wanted to talk to you! I've seen a job I want to apply for but I'm a bit scared of just going for it and applyingThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. That is a film I want to see, MU! Really glad that you enjoyed it.
If you feel it won't upset you I think you should apply for the job. After all you can always not do it if you were offered it, you aren't committing to anything at this stage and it might just be what you were looking for. Nothing has to change just because you have gone for it.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Go for it. Even if you decide it's not for you, it's a good idea to send off applications and have the occasional interview to keep in practice. (As long as you're feeling well enough to cope if for any reason it comes to nothing.)All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

*waves* Hi all.
Hugs and warm handshakes all round. Sorry for being quite between little one and Max being ill I am physically and mentally exhausted and now my anxiety is playing up for goood measure I always find tiredness makes it far worse.
Had my B12 injection today so that will be a much needed boost. Mustt book GP appointment for a chat as well... putting it off a little so I am going to say I must visit the GP on or by Friday and report back. Please can someone nag me.
Jobbingmusician - your feet sound really sore. Do you have any cotton socks you could put on with lots of moisturiser for a bit of a pampering treat? I often do this at night and it really makes my poorly feet feel better.
Elsien well done on the interview -good luck.
Messedup Glad today is a better day.
