What an exciting hoard, LIR! I love hearing about other people's odd things that they find, I always did like surprise lucky dips. I am quite excited for the boxes which is as it will mean I get on with it.
You know I have done taxes in my life? When I was working it was done for you and I have never had to do it since. I was sent a P60 for the first time this year and got in such a panic thinking that I was supposed to do something. I honestly wouldn't have any idea where to start with it all.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Have you seen Gremlins and have they got wet or did you feed them after midnight?
I have a wardrobe with similar boxes. Some of which have been there for 14 years so are clearly vital. Another thing on the ever expanding to do list. I'm actually finding that having more time to do things means I'm achieving less - no idea where the time goes to, but it's certainly not on anything constructive.
I tell a lie - more time training Gitdog. I got told by some random idiot in the park today to keep him under control. He was on a lead, playing with his toy and about 30 ft from the nearest person. I didn't swear, but I did tell said idiot that he was a pillock. Quite restrained in the circumstances, I thought.
A quick hello and hope things get better for you to anyone feeling under the weather. My internet connection is still all over the place, so I'm off to enter competitions while I get the chance. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Hahahahaha! I do know that film! I have gremlins under the bed!
What a mean person, leave Gitdog alone! I think you were extremely reserved under the circumstances and the man indeed was a giant pillock. With knobs on.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Drawer done.
Funny how easy things can be when you knuckle down. I feel ashamed I've left it so long!
I'm sure GIT dog was less annoying than kiwi who went paddling in the muck heap today. And hates being hosed down.0 -
Well done, LIR! Isn't it a good feeling when it's finished?
Kiwi had fun! Although I am sure the hose part wasn't quite so enjoyable!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Most men have knobs, or so I hear
Sorry - rude post warning. It reminds me of my lovely friend Fifigrace's reply to this post (NSFW) http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=29475175&postcount=155 - she said 'I shall be extremely cross if my new bookshelves arrive minus the knobs.'
Sorry, brain still not back to normal functioning after an overdose of fresh air and music! Normal service will be resumed ASAP. In the mean time, big hugs or handshakes, especially to MU and dibuzz (and anyone else who needs them!) - and WaS, it sounds as if you are doing EXACTLY the right thing in avoiding BIL! xxxEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Welcome back JM! We missed you!
Hilarious reply, I am laughing so much! WaSp might have a slight problem with those shelves sadly...Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

P.S Now it has been 13 days and I am still not yellow and no longer in pain I feel confident in announcing that I am not dying of liver failure! First time I have been sure! JB! Welcome back! Have you de-caked your boots and aired your sleeping-bag?
WaS! Congrats on beating the Cupboard of Doom!
The underbed boxes - how exciting! It'll be like Christmas! I'm sure you'll get some nice surprises, as well as things that can go to new homes.
I remember when I unpacked some boxes, the contents of which I'd forgotten about, and it was great fun! Yes, a lot of things that technically one doesn't 'need', but that had pleasant connotations! Also, there were actually some jolly useful things in there too.
How's the Cushion of GA going? Is there anything left under it? Or is it a mere cushion once again?
I know! How about calling the now defunct Cupboard of Doom the Cupboard of Donewithworrying?(I just lurve spiders!)

My blood test is booked in. I must have been first patient on the phone, imagine that, never happens when you need an emergency appt!
They have the drop in clinics but they had a slot that they reckon will get my results in time for the consultant so I took that instead.
I feel nearly efficient.0
