P.S There is an elephant in the room... No I am not hallucinating elephants although I would quite like to, I did hallucinate piglets sequence dancing on the ceiling once which was wonderful! I digress...
I have 2 hospital appointments tomorrow, one psychiatric and one for my eyes. Luckily my psychiatrist tries to fit in around other appointments so that I do not have to go out twice.
I am trying to ignore it so that I don't start panicking already. It isn't working too well. Wish me luck please.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Good luck tomorrow, I will be thinking of you.
I hope it doesn't affect you too badly.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Just think, when you are on your way to the hospital little Pugliet will be on her way to you - you can cuddle her as soon as Royal Mail deliver her, and I am training her to challenge post-hospital-visit-psychosis as we speak.
Seriously, good luck and I hope it all goes well and doesn't affect you too badly.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Amongst the sharing of experiences, coping mechanisms and strategies on this thread there are some real glimmers of humour and understanding that have me giggling and trying to imagine jobbingmusician training the Pugliet..
WaS - hope your day isn't too stressful and the knock on effects are minimal - cuddly toys and dancing piglets are the way forward0 -
Thank you for the good thoughts! Can pugliet be trained to fetch chocolate? That would be the perfect starting point!
Tomorrow will be full of anxiety but bearable because I will be in cope-in-a-crisis mode. As before it is the days after that are worrying, when I relax and allow myself to feel what I suppress to get through it. There is a fine line between talking myself into that fact that an episode looms and being prepared in case ones does. I shall deal with tomorrow first.
Tomorrow involves eye-drops which will inhibit my vision, my partner is already talking about keeping a tally of how many walls he can direct me into. Hmmm...
5.30am- No sleep at all and now an anxiety attack complete with rapid heartbeat, shaking, feeling sick and excessive sweating. Intrusive thoughts everywhere, voices laughing hysterically at me. I have 3 hours to get it together before the hospital, needless to say this is not the best of starts. It is going to be a long day...
7.40am- I see moths everywhere. Landing on me, on the walls, in my teacup. It is now time to take an extra pill (which I could with!) and get ready to go. This will make for an interesting psychiatric appointment but I pity the oth...orthomp...orthamp...err the eye doctor-oligist! (sense of humour hanging in there!).Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Your first appointment should be over so hopefully a good psychiatrist meeting should be helping you at the moment.
I am intrigued - why moths, do you think? There are some beautiful moths around, so maybe google some moon moths. If you are going to hallicinate, may as well be pretty!
Good luck today.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Reminds me of my OH, who is prone to hallucinations if his temperature goes above...ummm can't remember, but quite a low level. The last time this happened he saw pink lights flying down from the ceiling, and every time they touched his skin it hurt him
On a more positive note, other things are flying too...Pugliet is on his way. The RM woman asked if I wanted him delivered on Monday, and I asked her what was wrong with tomorrow, which seemed to surprise her. Honestly! Laughingly called 'first class post'! So I think don't expect him until Monday at the earliest, and he'll be especially in need of cuddles by then.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
I lived! Two interesting appointments which I will talk about alter but I must try and sleep, it has been over 24 hours since I last did.
I shall be waiting for Pugliet excitedly! Wild horses aren't dragging me out of this flat for the near future so I shall be here ready to give him a huge cuddle!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Glad you got through it, we'll all be here when you're ready to talk about it.
I sometimes see insects out of the corner of my eye but when I look there's nothing there. I always assumed they had just run away quickly but you've made me wonder now especially as nobody else ever notices them.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
Glad to hear you survived was thinking about you this morning..
Peaceful sleep vibes0
