Urgh,
Well team WaS I was sick as a dog last night.. Its been months since I was so ill. I was meeting the person close to me who is having counselling today. I hope I've been sensible. By meeting them this morning I've shown care etc but also reminded them I cannot discuss the aftermath. ( their session is this afternoon). So, I went out despite feeling grim. All went well, so no feathers ruffled.

Glad you're keeping yourself busy MU, enjoy!
Harry's book arrived today WaS, it took me ages to order as they only accept postal order or cheque. So I had to send off for a cheque book as it was an extra £ on a postal order, & me being a money saver .... I'm half way through reading it, I hope Harry can concentrate long enough to try reading. His voices are worse since he's gone back home. He stays with our Mom sometimes & they help each other out.
Hope everyone's well & had some good sleep.0 -
I am still drinking my green tea (green tea with ginger is my favourite). I feel much, much better for it. I rarely have coffee now, so no caffeine buzz. It/the medication has changed my palate so I no longer am bothered about fatty or sugar food. My skin is beautifully hydrated.
My DH laughed at me this morning because he said that I go through phases with food/drink for a few weeks. I could happily eat the same meal 6 days in a row. (He wouldn't let me anyway). We are trying to vary our diet at the moment to have lots of different types, although that seems to mean multicoloured skittles for DH.
Anyone else got food fads?
Hope work is going okay, MessedUp.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Hope you feel better soon LIR, well done for supporting your friend!
WaS I imagined I had ovarian cancer a few days ago, it was a bad bout of IBS but similar symptoms to OC. Also I saw a programme on TV about a man who had cancer up his nose & had to have his nose off! I was horrified by this & I convinced myself that I too had cancer up my nose as I could feel a small spot up there. The only person that I could ask to check up my nose was my husband, but his fingers are too big to go up there. I didn't actually get to the Dr's thank God, she'd've laughed like a drain0 -
I'm on Ryvita at the mo whitewing, so it's everything on Ryvita for me & I'm surprised at how nice it is.0

I had a phantom pregnancy after my grandparents died. I thought I could feel a baby moving (but it was probably my intestines digesting the enormous quantities of food).
I did go to the dr and he knew I wasn't pregnant. He sent me for a ultrasound thingy anyway so I could see there was nothing in my womb. (We had been trying for DD for quite a while so I think the dr decided to check it out for fibroids or something. He was very kind.)
My friend's friend convinced herself that she was dying because she could feel a lump at the top of her leg and she'd lost a lot of weight fairly easily. It turned out it was her hip bone. She'd never been slim enough to notice it before.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Oh, LIR I'm sorry you had a bad night, that isn't good. What good friend you are for supporting your friend despite of that. Take it easy today and have lots of doggie cuddles.
I have food fads all of the time, whitewing. Right now I can't get enough pickled cucumbers, not the best thing for someone with reflux disease! Also melon, which is far better for me.
Excuse me if I giggle, Duke but I can relate so much (and hugs for whitewing, a phantom pregnancy is quite sad). I can convince myself that I have anything, the more deadly the more likely. Fortunately when I am not in full scale panic mode I can laugh at it, and my doctor does laugh! He apologises while chortling to himself! [QUOTE=Waves and Smiles;66252581 I am so glad that thread turned out the way it is, I figure this must be a little bit like what having a family is like.

You've made my day with that quote, and I'm having a good day anyway.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
