I so nearly wrote this morning that Robin W's death wasn't your fault, WaS, but then I thought you may not have heard the news.

Glad you realise it isn't your fault.

Messedup hope you ok. I have been through a messy divorce -break ups suck. My dad always says everything happens for a reason. 6 years later I have a lovely partner, the most gorgeous little girl and my wonderful dog Max. My aunt always says "everything passes" and it does it just takes time. Be kind to yourself and use this thread it is a wonderful source of support and humour in equal measure.
Thank you for your kind words, i'm glad things have gotten better for you :)

I seem to be coping a little better today :), no panic attacks and no hysterical crying so far, i'm going to try and go back to work tomorrow. One of my close friends has been talking to me and has planned stuff for us today for thurs-sat so that's good :)

I just need to take one day at a time

  • Aww, thank you haybel. How are things with you today?

That sounds like you have some great plans in place, MU! Keeping busy with a good friend is a wonderful idea. As you say, one day at a time and it will slowly start to feel better.

I've never heard of it before

It must be quite a culture shock as i'm sure the japanese culture is more polite and reserved than some western cultures, how sad it affects them in such a way :(

  • That is interesting actually as part of my Bioethics course I am starting next week covers how much we can be severely mentally affected by moving from culture to culture and how we feel about other cultures influencing our lives. That might even come up! It sounds like the type of topic I would usually run from where people get shouty so I think I will just stick to observing the discussions. It should be interesting, though.

    Life as WaS...

I have no pain in my side, it has finally gone. Most people would be relieved that they no longer have a problem. Me? Remembers what she read on Dr Google that at first liver failure hurts and then you feel fine for a few days before the liver collapses completely (as I poke myself repeatedly to see if it hurts a tiny bit). Yep, still dying here!

It is a very good thing that I can laugh at myself. Feel free to join in, I won't be offended...

Good morning! You are up early! Don't mind me just chatting away to myself in the small hours!

ETA: Don't worry everyone! I have managed to poke myself enough in the ribs that it hurts again, so not in the just before death phase yet!

I give up on me :rotfl:
