  • One more beach picture, not as good as the one that Pyxis found but its really hard to do waves and smiles! :)[IMG][/img]IMG_20140809_142944_zps58225725.jpg
  • Haybel, chin up and keep going, you will get through it and the medicine is helping even if the giving of it isn't easy.

Since you described the cake you made I now associate you with pink polka dots, I don't see this though even though the concept of music and colour is a new one to me it sounds interesting :)
  • Awww! Waves and smiles! That is so sweet of you, I really am so touched. You thought of me at my favourite place to be.

Your username is pink and blue, haybel with slight shades of lilac interwoven. I am giggling to myself because I thought everyone saw this for so long. As soon as I found out not only was stunned for a while I then got utterly confused as to why there are so many different ways of 'seeing' thoughts. WaSp, for example rarely see's images, he hears his thoughts as a voice saying them as sounds.

Have a cry if you need to, it might release a few stress hormones. I am sending every good wish that I can to your little family, I so hope things are better for you tomorrow. Big hugs.

    haybel,

Are there no grannies who could come and ease the burden for you? (Apologies if this is not an appropriate comment).

I hope everyone gets a lot better soon.

    Thank you.

I quite like being thought of with pink polka dots!

Glad I am not the only one that does 'see' and that others are also disappointed. It made me wonder though how do any of us know that how we see/think is the same way that others do?

  • Really good question, haybel and the answer is most of us don't! Unless we actively compare our thought processes with others it's natural to assume everyone's is the same as I did. I fact they can vary quite a lot and I find it fascinating.

COPY......... here is the suggested THREAD ETIQUETTE. By following this etiquette, all posters, whether new or existing, will feel safe, unpressured and respected..

    - This is a thread for support. We have discovered some good friends on here, but we promise always to welcome and include new people, and not to be cliquey.

    - People may make suggestions to help each other, and might even ask if the suggestions were helpful or have been carried out, but we'll really try not to nag each other or put too much pressure on.

    - The normal board rules about sexism, racism, homophobia etc. apply, but if we are careful we should be able to discuss almost anything without breaching board rules - so far we have discussed subjects ranging from child abuse to incontinence!

-If someone thinks that too much pressure is being applied, they can post the trigger word PENGUIN and flag up the fact that they believe there's a potential for someone feeling too nagged to do something. ANYONE could post PENGUIN if they felt there was a danger that suggestions were being enforced too much.

    ......................................... ......................................... ............

    - More suggestions please.............We stress that we are suggesting that we AGREE some Thread Etiquette to HELP people who might feel anxious about posting, we are not trying to IMPOSE rules, just relating this to facilitating groups, so that people feel safe and able to participate as fully as they can.

Hey Whitewing *waves* Did you see my other reply?

Of course it is fine to ask hun. My mum lives round the corner she has been round today for cuddles and cake. She often babysits for me if I have an article or samples to do or comes to play so that I can get on. She would happily have little one so I could have a few minutes to myself but little one being so poorly just wants mummy.

My mum raced round when little one got taken to hospital wee hours of Friday by ambulance. She came in the ambulance with me. OH works nights so he met us there. It was fab she was there as meant I had support. We are very close and I am exceptionally lucky.

Tonight is my first night on my own since little one frightened us all so i am a little apprehensive as it did really frighten me even though little one is slightly better since then.

Thank you for the well wishes it is really kind.

Have you and DD been to the park today?

WaS I love the colours that you see with my Username.

If anyone would like to see Lynda mentioned and showed my favourite sample on air during the 6pm show on create and craft. 21 minutes or so in. If anyone wishes to take a peek (I shall not be offended if not) then here is the link http://www.createandcraft.tv/ShowGridView.aspx?showId=2462092

  • Haybel, rather than a wicked witch can you not think of yourself as the loving Mommy that you are? I know my godson who is 2 loves getting his 'special medicine' he says its going to make him a big strong boy who will feel better really quick so he can go to nursery again. Your lo and Max will pick up your vibes so if you're positive about the action they will see and feel that too :)

    Medicating max...

    Pills or liquid?

Big dog has nasty tasting pills twice a day. They go in a bit of very nice tasting slice of pate type food when other people are feeding her. Can I suggest trying so etching like this?

Other short term fixes, not particularly healthy might be butter.....no, its not healthy, but more comfortably for him to swallow.

We also have the cue word here 'pain killer bicky' . This they know is a 'treat' that is just for them. The cue is they is a rush to get it, not a set up to fight against it. ( we also have 'bedtime biscuit' every night at bedtime, and day time biscuit very occasionally for certain day time occasions where I feel guilty or bribery is simplest option, biscuit are NOT what we use for training, or 'work" which are very tiny treats which don't have a name. )

Cannot help with the little one though.

Right, mine are off out pre bedtime biscuit.
