Dear WaS, I wrote this post before I finished reading the latest part of the thread. I do hope that when you wake, you are feeling better. It is good that you can post to us when feeling bad, rather than, as you say, going to A&E or phoning your partner when he's miles away. Always remember that we'll surround you with golden, caring thoughts, and Cynthia will take care of those bad voices!

I am going out for the day, to visit an Art Deco house, so won't be back till this evening. Will catch up with you then. Lots of hugs.

(And isn't that WONDERFUL! I've just looked it up! A group of penguins is called a colony, a rookery or a waddle

    Colony: too boring
Rookery: nah! Only rooks in a rookery!
    Waddle: PERFICK!

Mind you, left to me, I would have said it should be a 'pick-up of penguins'! :D..................(mmmm! Biscuits!)
I just ordered a new blanket. With Flowers on! I am thinking of making them seasonal!

WaS! You could start a whole new fashion trend! Seasonal blankets! Plus special ones for occasions - a Christmas blanket, a birthday one, an Easter one with chicks on. You've just missed your chance to have a Commonwealth Games blanket!

Ok, when's your Autumn blanket collection coming out?
(Don't forget the matching Pugliet-sized ones!) I can just see the cat-walk - tall willowy models sporting the latest blankets, each accompanied by a small matching blanket-covered pug shape! )
(Oh gosh! Am off giggling at the thought again!)
For some reason, I keep equating Pugliet in the blanket with that funny little cartoon blue 'flame' in the British Gas advertisements, toddling along singing. Which makes it even gigglier!

I know! Matching 'mother and pugliet blankets' could be called Blankietiquettes!
    (I just lurve spiders!)

Good morning, all. I do hope you are feeling better, WaS. Please try not to feel embarrassed as it is posts like the one above which are so open, honest, and helpful to others. I'm just sorry that this happened when we were all asleep (except Pugliet!) I dreamt about a dog looking after me - it was obviously pugliet sending thoughts through the ether :D I have sent you a glowing liver through the ether as well - visualising a healthy liver glowing with golden light, surrounded with a blue aura.

Would it be helpful, when you read this, to have a ritual to get rid of any residual fears which are lurking around the flat? Sir Pugliet will be good at sniffing out any which are hiding in corners. I might find it useful to move around the flat with a lighted candle, burning off any negativity and fears which are hoping to lurk and pounce on me later. (To other readers - I know WaS will understand this, and we both know it's a trick, but rituals like this still help sometimes!)

I found this pic of SP under a blanket, resting while you were asleep :p He's still keeping half an eye on you, bless him!

:) Well done for making it through the night. You said it would be a couple of hours' journey to the coast, which makes you somewhere in the middle of our small island. So you are surrounded by a ring of wellwishers. I am in the southwest.

You can even get pug leggings, although they are a bit pricey:

Best wishes, WaS. Hope you are getting some good rest.

LOL this is sooo funny - I was expecting leggings for pugs! I looked at the site, thinking 'why haven't they got any pix of the pugs in their leggings?' before I realised that what I was looking at was basically a pair of tights......

    * Quiet cough from behind a pug*

Hi! I am fine! and blushing!

Sorry about that everyone, please tell me it was useful to someone or something so that I don't feel utterly self-indulgent. I still have stabbing pain in my right hand side so I have done something to it but as I am not yellow or throwing up I think we can rule out liver failure. Chances are it's my spine problem radiating around to the front, it isn't a new pain but just like last time I focused on it. I have had it on and off for over a year so realistically if it was going to kill me it would have by now! If it wasn't the pain I would have focused on something else, that episode was far more to do with my state of mind than anything that was physically wrong. I also have thumping headache from all the fear and crying so ouch in general.

Last night to be honest with everyone, was horrendous. It is far harder to deal with an episode when I am alone. The panic where I could barely breathe went on until 5am as did the lead feeling in my body as I fought off the catatonia. I spent an hour within a few minutes of calling an ambulance but slowly it passed. I did manage to take my medication plus extra eventually although everything in me was screaming not to take it.

I have a smudging stick JM, so will use that. Good idea! (A smudging stick is made of sage and burnt to ward off bad things and bless rooms). I love the pug picture!

Thank you all so much for your lovely messages, I hope I didn't worry anyone. I will always keep myself safe and get myself to hospital if I need to. It just helps me to write it all down, I feel less alone. I am still pretty shaky and have anxiety but it's is residue from last night. It should fade as the day goes on.

WB WaS! I'm utterly convinced your post will have been useful to lots of people struggling with similar stuff. And BTW I was thinking about this thread and the great people on it just yesterday, because it's been really great in reminding me why I work in mental health. I spend FAR TOO LONG doing things like writing tenders and dealing with staff and admin issues, and (although I see some people who use our services at meetings - usually the more able ones) I don't talk to people with MH problems enough, nowadays. This thread has really helped me fall back in love with my job! x
