It's funny, you know, but whenever I have suddenly been attracted to someone, it has always been because they expressed an emotion or said something that touched me. It may have been a sudden smile, or an expression of concern, or a few significant words spoken. None of those people were particularly good-looking at all, but they suddenly became beautiful!
And that's what you did, WaS, way back in the thread! You touched us all! So what does that make you? Something beginning with B! I dare you to say it! Go on, say 'I am beautiful!'

P.s. I think we're going to have to call you Waves and Smiles and Pops!
Pyxis has this spot on, you say it so well.

Dibuzz that's 7 hours all together and the weight loss is great as it may help with pressure and pain in your back.

What a talented group you all are with the crafting. I do the odd ad hoc bit of crafting usually because I want to create something bespoke and specific to a particular person.

Well done on the decluttering challenge WaS!

White wing enjoy your day with DD. Great challenges btw :). Happy decluttering to you too, your ideas and coping strategies are really helpful.

I am up to that challenge, whitewing!

As for the next psychiatric appointment I will tell him about this thread as it is really is helping me, I feel less alone and a tiny bit useful since starting it. I also think that my mood has improved to what it was the last time he saw me. I might discuss the book option again with him, too. He is also aware I have been trying to write one for 5 years and brings it up occasionally as he thinks it would be a good idea.

Aw, thank you dibuzz, I am trying! I really hope that you get some sleep tonight!

Would it be worth printing it and taking it to appointment?

    Gig was mixed last night.

Audience included 'repeat customers' for the venue' who new they were getting something different and had had a taster before.

The genre lovers seemed to really love it. We had a radio person there who was really really into it and nabbed the guys and chatted to them in breaks. They played a tune for him.

Some of the people who were expecting ' what has gone before' looked a bit bemused, but not horrified.

There was a huge difference in audience to normal, which organisers were amazing and delighted with.

Ticket sales with DH and co headlining were up twenty percent, but bar sales were down. This is mixed news. It meant more people were listening to the music, but fewer people were sitting out side buying drinks coz the music was dreadful. Often that's what happens. Economically a better gig is not necessarily the best result!

WaS every one was worried about rain except me. ;) the venue is extremely beautiful, and cool and peaceful. The light as the sun sets is dramatically beautiful, then, in the evening, with just the spots on gorgeous. I'd like to go to some of the other stuff there too.

There used to be an "odd sock drawer" on the landing for any member of the family who found an odd sock in their wardrobe. From time to time, I laid them all out on the bed and paired them up, my record is 22 pairs at a single matchmaking event. Then, when I realised the drawer was no longer needed, I ended up with 11 unmatchable socks, varying from a sheer stocking type thing through cheerful summer and boring grey to striped rugby. So I sold them on ebay. Yes, really, I sold a load of odd socks.

Hey Solarjunkie I was wearing odd socks long before it became fashionable to do so. Call me mean but I couldn't stand to waste a perfectly good sock. Well done on the sale! :rotfl:

Hiya Duke! How are you and Harry?

Soz Team WaS - I'm finally & furiously catching up at last! Harry's got his meds changed & appears to be OK, but sometimes he pretends he's fine (I hate to say this as it's so selfish with him going through such terrible times) when he thinks I'm stressed - bless him. I've removed some of my posts as he may be coming on here :j & I'd hate anything I've said to upset him. Although he knows that I've been discussing psychosis on here with my friends. He has a tablet! I too thought it was an extra med when he told me :o You've changed lives WaS :''-) Tears of joy, thanks for caring & contributing everyone xxx The world needs that book! Diary form would be great as it would simplify things for the reader, well me really :D

I hope Harry knows he'd be very welcome to learn along side the rest of us. WaS is a kind person with tireless explanation of what she goes through, and learning how other people cope with various things, health or life, is interesting and inspiring.

Well Duke, you started a trend, look on ebay & you can buy sets of odd socks, if that makes sense.
Though I don't think my buyer was intending to wear them, but hey, each to their own!

WaS, you are unusually quiet. Tired after all your progress?

We had a lovely afternoon at the park. I am trying to encourage DD to make friends (she's shy) and she did really well today, playing with a couple of little girls.

I was looking at the other children in the park and thinking about you, WaS. There was not a single ugly child there, although there were all different types. And it struck me that children who are happy and bonding with trusted caregivers aren't ugly. I think it is easy to confuse the neglect as 'ugliness' and I think maybe that is still that you (we) subconsciously think that we could have changed the situation. You were a child and things happened to you that you had no control. I am completely certain that you are attractive because someone who is as caring as you cannot be anything else. The wider world deserves to know you.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

All these odd socks around and no sock monkey for me. I am going to sulk!

    Good morning everyone!

Duke that is wonderful! Harry is more than welcome, I would love to talk to him! I am excited now, what a brave man he is! He can just lurk for a while if he wishes, no pressure to post at all. Or he can pm me if he would prefer to have a chat beforehand. That has made my day!

Aww, thank you Pyxis! Am I allowed to settle for I am not that bad, really?

Have a great day out, whitewing. Thank you for thinking of me!

Hang in there, dibuzz. I am really hoping that your back improves soon. I take Tramadol for pain as well and it does help but I combine it with soluble codeine, too as that works in 5 minutes flat. However, doctors are reluctant to prescribe the latter unless it is desperate as it is very addictive.

It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend, LIR! Rain is good, you can't have enough rain! Good idea on printing out the thread for my psychiatrist, I shall do that.

I have apple crisps from Approved Foods, JM! Much healthier than snacking on junk food. I snack on odd things anyway though, dried fruit, olives and errr raw mushrooms. Yes really, I'm odd!

    On to decluttering!

I am here, whitewing! I have done 3 sets of 5 minutes already, one more to go! What you said about the regenerating cells really helped, I do think that the abuse is what makes me feel ugly and tainted. My mother used to tell me that I was ugly all of the time and no 'stranger' outside of the family would want me.

My daughter is an odd sock girl as well, in fact she refuses to wear a true pair. They have to be matching odd though, same pattern or same colours, just something that ties them together.
No improvement in my back today painwise but it's not quite as stiff.
I've got co-dydramol as well, I take those in the day but forgot to ask the doc if I can take them along with the tramadol.
