Ooooh I can't keep up!
What's happened have you got a job at the zoo WaS?
Happy Birthday 7DW & Gingernutty! Hope you both have a lovely day xxx
I have certainly had an eventful day. We have put our house up for sale, which we have owned since 1976, and lived in for most of that time, apart from the eight years we lived in Spain. Excited because it means we move to our bungalow but sad because we have had it such a long time. Hope whoever buys it is as happy here as we have been.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

That is exciting SDW! I put my house on the market on my birthday in 2011, it sold within a week so fingers crossed birthday-selling will be lucky for you too0

Thanks tea lover! Estate agent says it should sell quickly but then she would say that, wouldn't she?, (to quote someone far more famous than me

Today I will - get at least some of this work to-do list done. Have done some of the little annoying jobs that have been on there a while. Still got teh big annoying tasks to do! Find at least one more job to apply for. Done. Have applied for 5 in the last week, not heard a thing about any of them. Go to gym. Really have to do this, have no excuse not to and will enjoy it when I get there. Just that getting there seems like such a big hurdle.
Today I will not - bang head on desk. Have managed this, so far! Cry. Success (again... so far!) Eat my own body-weight in biscuits. Er.... moving on:rotfl:. It's been an absolute disaster of a day food-wise.
Progress so far....0 -

Happy birthday Gingernutty and tea! I hope it is wonderful for both of you!
I could join in with that, HBS! I could hide in a monster costume (a friendly monster. That gives out cookies).
I had emailed my social worker on Monday to explain about the farm placement as I figured it would have to be written into my care plan and she called me back today. We get on very well but every conversation with her is like being rolled over by a very glittery and bubbly bulldozer.
She is going to look into a grant for clothes for me (the farm is also looking into this). She wants WaSp to stay with me throughout it at least at first, I said after a while I would probably be fine (WaSp was hoping to stay in the car), that went down like a lead balloon so WaSp is staying with me every week and walking around with me! She also wants me to aim for no more than every once every 2 weeks at first and I have to inform my psychiatrist that I am doing it. She is also going to contact the owner because she knows the charity and apparently for them to receive social services funding for me they need to speak to her anyway.
She was very excited and happy for me and told me I need a hat, scarf, gloves and a coat. Now, my temperature stays high all of the time so I don;t get cold. I did explain this was talked at for 5 minutes about how cute hats are these days and how she has one with a pom pom and how snuggly coats are. I shall buy the clothes she wants me to...
I also apparently need a small bag with a nail brush, antiseptic wipes and anti-bactertial handwash to take with me. Ok then.
She also mentioned that if I keep going for several months then they may be able to give me some money towards a volunteer driving service. This is apparently where ordinary people volunteer to drive vulnerable adults just for petrol costs. She said that way eventually it would give WaSp a break for a few hours every Friday. We will see how it is going in a few months.
I do like her very much but she is so quietly assertive, I don't think I have ever got her to change her mind on anything and she tends to make up her mind about things before she speaks to me. Fortunately, we agree on most things, she is just a tad fussier (if that's the word?) than me about the small details.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

For coats check equestrian clearance ( google them) for a bargain and the derby house link I gave for boots in case there is still a sale.
Although they are the least stylish I find a blouson style jacket most comfortable on the yard etc. It doesn't cling or make me claustrophobic, it washes really easily, and its easy to work in , and quick to whip off, It take layers under it when its very cold .
You might find a body warmer useful. They can help when you are on the cusp. With temp regulation problems she is right, its important you don't get too cold and have a suitable wardrobe!0 -
Oh, she is right LIR. I am just naughty and don;t dress as I should. On the farm last week all I had on was a sweatshirt and I wasn't cold at all despite there being frost everywhere. I admit I am very bad at keeping wrapped up in winter.
A body warmer is a good idea, I might prefer that to a coat. I shall have a look at the link, this is all new to me because I have never been on a farm before in my life and have little idea what's suitable.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I've been quite under the weather for a couple of days, thought I might have to go and get medical help. Its a relief to be getting back to myself this evening.
. I'm alone til Friday night now, so have to not go down hill again. ( well the friendly builder is here tomorrow, but you know what I mean; without any help should things go wrong).
If things really went wrong fir would have to come home from work I guess. His work have set a care scheme up recently, but it doesn't cover things like the pets. It would step in to cover his role as my spouse/ carer for me, but not feeding dogs / cats etc.0
