    Thank you Twin :D

I had 4 targets for this month:

Completely pay off another debt: Done, M&S bit the dust
Pay off 75% of debt: Done, now at 75.71%
Get below £20,000 of debt: Done, please note the £1 to spare :rotfl:
Become mortgage free: The money is in the bank and ready to transfer to the mortgage company

    Yay! :j

Could never have done it without this site and especially this thread. :iloveyou:

Well done TTFTM, that is an awesome result. Hitting these targets are very good at keeping us focused and eventually when we get to zero we won't know what to do with ourselves:rotfl:

So for the past few months, I have been extremely worried about phoning my creditors (and there are a lot of them) about our financial situation. Anyway, yesterday and today I felt that I had to so I contacted Asda (Sygma) and Barclaycard. Anyway just want to share with anybody that are worried that it wasn't such a bad experience.

Just wanted to share as I know just how daunting/worrying it is!

    Regards

    Hi

Does anyone know how long it normally takes SC to reply to an email? Or can anyone confirm what their email address is?

Well done Time to face the music. It's great to see someone paying something off

Hi, not sure have you checked on the sc website? Ringing them is always quicker if you can do that instead.

    Hi Mol,

I have a DMP in place and whenever I email the turnaround tends to be about 3 days but this is probably because they'll be prioritising phones :)

I have an email address which they provide to folk already in a DMP but I'm hesitant to give it out as it's for client services and their site has an online form which you can fill in - I would pass it on but I guess they prefer newbies to use the form as it stops filling up their existing customer mailbox and/or allows them to prioritise forms submitted?

    Their number is 0800 138 1111 or their online form is;

    Enjoy!

Ex - Mr Sazzie also does this, with anyone, healthcare, financial or car insurance etc, saves load of hassle.

Just a reminder to all newbies that you will likely get a lot of automatically generated 'pay now' or else letters while you are setting up the DMP. If you can bear to call them and just remind them you are in the process of starting the DMP they will leave you alone for a while. Once set up, they seem to stop sending so many but you might get the occasionally one, and ring them again to say DMP with SC/PP/CAB etc ref etc etc .

Nice to see so many on the thread, keep up the good work
Thanks sazzie23, we both rang today MBNA were great, very understanding and explained that it was an automatic letter and Santander were ok not quite as friendly but not nasty :)
