(16 watchers on a chocolate fountain!!!??).

I sold my friend's chocolate fountain, and it created quite a bit of interest. It eventually sold for an amount we were pleased with, so hopefully yours will fetch a good price

Well done on the overpayments, that's good going since June:)

Had a lovely day with Mum yesterday and she treated us to lunch (with a £10 discount I had). Saw my friend, I drove so a cheap night out and today off to see another friend at her house so should again be quite cheap. Need to post a couple of flea bay sales before I head out and do something with my face! The kids woke up at 5.20am so its been an early start for me!
My mum sent loads more blackberries over for us to use so need to ponder how to use them best for us. I'm thinking crumbles!

Most items sold so we have op'd another £105 which includes a tax rebate, the money we saved using petrol coupons and flea bay sales, taking us to £825. I'll add another few items for Thursday and leave them to run for 10 days which will see the end of August!!!

Got a few food bits and some clothes the kids need for nursery (eek!) at Mr M so took advantage of an in store offer for 10p off a litre and filled up saving us £6. Husband did the same with Mr T points and saved £9 - it all adds up. Mr M is doing an offer with gift cards and money off petrol that I didn't know about so will ponder how to use that to help buy any things we have lined up in the next couple of months.

    To Do
    1. fill up Augusts flea bay allowance - by Thursday
    2. book in for baby sale in Oct
    3. Post parcels - today
    4. Make burgers for holiday

    Happy Tuesday

  • You are inspiring me to try the whole fleabay malarkey. I can just never be bothered with the hassle BUT if it gets rid of some clutter and helps towards the op pot then it is worth a go.

  • Hi Coffee Cup, thanks for dropping by. It is a faff in some respects but I'm finding a system that works for me, my house is emptying, I'm recycling and paying off the mortgage so I still think it is worth the effort even though with 99p sales you aren't making much at all. We've cheated a bit and are Oping everything we earn and just paying for the postage and fees from our own money. Its working at the moment as it gives us bigger wins plus I don't have to use my naff maths to work out what we actually earn!

Apparently I've missed an op somewhere so after the spanish bank's cash back we are now up to £870. I'll take photos of items today to get on flea bay/fb today.

Had a takeaway last night - eek but did use the offers available. Otherwise I'm sticking to the meal plan. I'm trying to make as much food to take with us at the weekend when we are away to keep costs down.

    Happy hump day

  • That's exactly what we do with Ebay sales - makes you feel much more motivated that way! and I agree even the 99p sales make more room in the house so you profit in some way

    You've made me crave a take-away now.....!!!

  • Morning all, I should be packing but thought I'd sneak a quick update on here ;-)

Didn't manage to quite get the 15 items on the bay but did get 10 so not too bad. Put a couple of things on fb too but don't hold out too much hope. Maybe in a month or so winter stuff may sell a little better although in our house this morning it feels a little like winter! I saw a review of a new app for selling stuff on so will have a look at that while I'm away and maybe put some of my stuff on there too.

Managed a NSD yesterday, the first for a long time. We ate so many random meals yesterday as I'm trying to use up everything in the fridge/freezer/cupboards. Tesco order on its way today with the holiday food but I've made lasagne, burgers, garlic bread, cakes, pies etc to take with us so we shouldn't need to buy too much whilst we are there.

Right no time to waste off to sort out my house and finish packing.

    Yay for Fridays!

  • Back from holiday now, had a lovely time and made some financial plans for the future as we had some time to relax and talk.

Had a fleabay sale yesterday £7.80 so will post that today and op the cash. The others don't finish until Sunday so a bit of time to go yet.

I'm struggling with the grocery budget at the moment. I only have 6 weeks till I hand my dissertation in so something is having to give and its being careful with the food at the moment. I'll keep tracking it but I think for the short term I may not have to worry too much about the cost!!! eekk.

    Anyway, back to studying
