Yes I started with the h/m hummus because of my dd and the salt issues - now she turns her nose up at it (and everything else!) so I haven't bothered for a while. When she eats it again I'll make it again.
    Congratulations on your job:beer:
With ebay I usually leave it a week to account for people on holiday/unable to log on (although I do think to myself why bid if you can't be there to pay?). Really annoying when this happens, such a waste of your time!

thanks katiegizmo, the flea bay info really helps.

ps I hope I didn't give the impression that my kids eat the hummus, its for me, the kids only eat beige and carby food despite what Annabel Karmel promised me when I was mashing liver and whizzing organic lamb curry…. oven chips and fish fingers it is! ;) very disheartening!!

I have done nothing off my list today but I have broken up 4 million squabbles, cleared up 3 split drinks and sang the alphabet song, oh millions of times. Now slumped watching cbeebies! Must try harder!

Just been catching up on your diary

Glad you had a good holiday with your family.

I like the way you document money generating and money saving, that's a good way of looking at things.

With eBay non payers, I don't wait around too long. I send an invoice as a reminder after two days, and I start a non payment case after 4 days. I have a low tolerance level!

Thank Goldiegirl, the advice really helps, I think I'll start a non payment case sooner rather than later.

A slightly 'challenging' day with the kids yesterday. I'm going to try a different tack today in order to make sure I'm playing with them and getting some of the jobs done. I'm not talking about deep cleaning the skirting boards just turning the dishwasher over etc. I used to get as much done before 9am and then could spend most of the day with them - apparently they can trash a room in 30 seconds or less at the moment! No trauma just a different way of managing the day.

    Money Generating

I have sold another thing on GT with collection on Friday. I've been on a bit of a roll on GT which is strange as the previous 2 things expired with zero interest! Is there no science behind this? :rotfl:
I'm also attending a women's business networking event tonight (excited!). I'm not quite at the promotional point for my own business but I figure you have to network to get work so I may as well start somewhere.

Thanks Emthemist. The focus on money is now back after my weekend away.

    Money Generating

Most of by flea bay sales finished on Sunday night, all have been packaged up and sent bar the one waiting for the courier today. I also have someone coming round to pick up an item who is interested in other baby items, so I've got things down from the attic and set up a mini shop in the living room for her to look at and I get the opportunity to price everything up ready for the sale I'm doing in August. I think I have enough to do another sale in the September/October time as I have quite a bit of winter stuff that I don't think will sell in August. I've pulled together a huge bag of kids summer clothes that I think are worth trying on ebay/fb before selling at a sale, so I need to get them put up over the next few weeks. I think I'm about done with the big baby stuff now, bar the cots, and need to start looking at other areas of the house whilst still chipping away at the 99p items. I've sold a couple of higher value items whilst I've been doing flea bay but half of what I've made is from clothes, it's really amazing how the small things add up.

    Money Saving

I don't have much left in the shopping budget for this month and I need to feed 15-20 people at the end of July so I need to get my thinking cap on! We need some milk today but think I could perhaps manage a NSD twice this week, Sunday and Friday should be easy to fit in and maybe I could manage Thursday?

    To Do
    1. CLEAN UP!!
    2. Photo all flea bay items
    3. Finish pricing all sale items
    4. Decide which items to take to the sale
    5. Make curry base and freeze
    6. Use up fruit
    7. Washing

Lunch - Part baked cobs and toppings
    Dinner - sausage pasta/veggie curry

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and fingers crossed the sun is shining where you are.
