Spent an unexpected day in A&E so not quite the NSD I had anticipated! Everyone is ok though and the team that treated us was fabulous so very grateful for that. Spent loads though feeding the 3 of us in the hospital so will make sure I am extra careful this week with the rest of the food budget.

Another flea bay item sold today so will post tomorrow. I'm going to have a rest from the bay until I've finished my dissertation just to free up some time and focus really focus on getting this thing handed in on time! I really can't wait! There are a couple of other thing to op on the mortgage but DH sorted that out so will update tomorrow.
Money Saving - sticking to the meal plan
Hope everyone is having a good start to the week.

I might be following your lead and having a car boot towards the end of the year just to get rid of the last lingering bits and bobs. I really want to start 2015 with less rubbish and unwanted items in the house.

An exciting day today as I am booking in my first hours with my new job!
To Do
1. post flea bay sale
2. practice getting up and ready for the school run - check!
3. plot out final chapter of my dissertation
4. unpick lit review to see if new structure will fit and take on board feedback.
I'm also attending a conference call, visiting my grandma's (2hr round trip) and having my Dad over for tea so busy, busy, busy. I'd better get a move on.

Kids managed the first day of flying solo at nursery pretty well, as did I! I'm glad that week is done with and now we can concentrate getting into a routine.

I've not sold anything as I'm waiting until I've finished my uni course but I did save £14 on a coat I was going to buy so we've op'd that. I've behind with my signature so will check what DH has been op'ing and update. I have a few training delivery hours booked in now with my new job which I will op'd directly to the mort.

We've had quite a spendy week so need to rein it in a little this weekend. I will need to do a shop as we are slowly running out of the basics but have made bread and soup for lunch today and will yank something together for dinner to save on spending.
I'm studying again today - can't wait until its finished!!! 3 more weeks…eeek!
Happy weekend

Its official we have broken the £150k barrier!!! We've paid off £23k since last March in a combination of regular op's and lots and lots of little op's which do mount up. I'm really proud of us, this means we are still on track for 2021 mortgage free date. We are going to extend in the next couple of years and whilst we are trying to save as much as possible we may have to borrow a little to top the funds up which I'm not looking forward to but it will give us the forever house we want and give me somewhere to work from home from. I think it's just a case of keeping any extra lending to a minimum, hopefully my work will pick up now the MA is nearly done and the kids are at nursery so that will help a little.
Anyway, nothing else to report, back to the uni work

on the final 10 days now until I've finished my dissertation and I'm rapidly loosing momentum
. I'm going to the library tomorrow 10.30 - 5 to finish my full draft off, leaving 1 week of editing and formatting. I've ordered loads of easy dinners this for the coming week and can not wait to get back to MSE. Sick of this now but I know it will be worth it in the long run.
Odd bits of OP's happening so will update my signature
Back soon!

The baby sale is booked for Saturday and I need to go through the whole lot, price and decide if any of it would be better on flea bay etc. I want to fill my flea bay free stuff up this month and really make as much impact on the mortgage pay off fund as possible and clear the clutter in my house! I've started my new job and have been averaging about 5 hours a week which should continue to the end of November. Megabucks it ain't, but every penny counts and will be transferred to the mortgage as and when it comes through.

I want to keep the food budget low this month, I'm thinking sub £200 maybe £150 if I'm feeling brave. I'll have a think and pick a target.
To do
1. Shop at Mr M for bits needed this week and use £3 off voucher
2. Sort baby sale items out, price and split items to sell elsewhere
3. Add 5-10 items to flea bay today for the 10 day thang
4. Empty and clean fridge - make soup with veg left overs
5. Make some hummus for lunches
6. Meal plan for this week
7. send tax letter to accountant
8. Make some cakes for kids and with kids
9. Hoover and wash downstairs floors
10. Swap sheets on kids beds
11. All clothes away in my bedroom
12. clean downstairs bathroom
13. Prep for Friday work sessions
14. Sort out and post any late cards etc for things I've missed in the past 2 weeks - eek!
Thats probably enough for today, right, off to the round up the troops.
I'll catch up with diaries later this week, hope everyone is well

Still working my way through the to do list! The kids are off from Nursery today as ds threw up this morning and when I rang to let them know, it turns out he is about the 5/6 person in the past few days so they suggested I keep dd off too which is easier for me and saves dragging sick boy out! TV is on and I'm switching between snuggles on the sofa with ds and fitting in jobs.
No real money updates from yesterday, will bank the £3 saving from MR M plus one of the items I put on flea bay yesterday has sold! Other than than just keeping on chipping away.

I've done the baby sale today and made about £70. The table cost £10 so £60 profit which isn't bad.. I think I'm going get rid of the rest of the clothes using $4clothes as I don't plan to do any other sales just at the moment and I am trying to create more space! There are a few items I'll FB, GT or flea bay, after that all the stuff can go back in the attic and I think I'll do another sale sometime next year.
Good work today, will op £70 across to the mortgage.
