What a dismal day it is out there! I have had to put lights on, doesn't it know its daytime! A really rubbish and unproductive morning with productive outcomes! I've not managed to achieve much as had to wait for the plumber and bloke to fix the aga but now both have been and we now have a warm(er) house and a hot shower and no charge for both.
I've op'd £30 from something I purchased but then changed my mind about. I'm tempted to go and purchase some lunch for me and the kids but I'm trying for a NSD so will ignore and shove something in the oven! I'm still clearing toys away but should win this afternoon. I've identified some toys to sell, Melissa and Doug stuff but looking on flea bay there doesn't seem to be much of a demand for it so I think another one of the baby market type thing will be necessary.
To Do
1. Jobs from yesterday
2. be creative with lunch…eek!
3. Make thank you cards
4. Play with the kids on a miserable rainy day!
Lunch update, all three of us had a different 'if it' from the fridge and used up left over pastry to make cheese straws instead of bread. Feeling quite proud of myself!

I love Melissa and Doug toys. I bought the boys some lovely puzzles for Christmas and have been looking for some more. Out of interest, what items do you have? May be interested...

A busy errands type day today. The kids had some clothes for christmas that are too small so I need to return and refund or exchange, I have a few other town type jobs so I'll try and do them all in one go (yuck), at least my Mum's coming for company!
Money Saving
Managed a NSD yesterday, I won't manage one today but tomorrow is a possibility. I'm sticking to the meal plan but think I will go over my hoped for budget as DH if following an eating plan that involves a lot of meat which is more expensive than I envisioned. Oh well, I'll keep going and see where we end up.
Money Generating
I've sold an item through GT, yay! £20 op'd today, I'll get another one loaded today.
To do today
1. Errands
2. Hoover downstairs
3. Make granola
4. Make bread
5. Make banana bread
6. Make b.nut squash curry (min 4 portions, freeze 1 for next week)
Lunch - beans on toast
Dinner - cheesy pasta bake/b.nut squash curry
Have a wonderful day

I was just looking at my last post and my to do list is pretty much the same for today!
A few extra op's logged but I need to check with DH for the actual amount as he keeps the log. Someone else is coming over to see one of my Gtree items so fingers crossed that sells too.
On the other hand we are off out tonight to celebrate my graduation (tomorrow) so that will be spendy but deserved I think!
To Do
1. Clean up before MIL arrives (inc hoovering)
2. change bed
3. Make Pizza for dinner
4. use up mushy bananas
5. Make granola
6. mini shop
Right off to get the kids ready.

Been MIA for a week or so wrapped up in life! Not loads to report but I have sold an item on GT which is always good and various other bits and pieces have been added to the pot.
Money Generating
I've sold an item on Gtree as I said and we've had cash back come through, DH made some savings on his mobile phone so that went in the pot too. In Feb I really need to make a push to get all of the items I have knocking about onto flea bay and I have another big item to see on Gtree so there is more work to be done.
Money Saving
I will have overspent at the end of this month but will be under £300 which isn't horrific. I've also totally lost track of the number of NSD's which is a terrible confession so must try harder in Feb! I've had a NSD yesterday and Sunday so maybe I'll go through my diary and check!
Nothing else really to report.
Hope you are all having a good week

Three years, seven months, two days and four hours later. :rotfl:WhiteSnowdrop wrote: »Does anyone know when you stop finding the glitter from christmas?!
At least it's not as bad as cat hair, five years later I'm still finding some from a fluffy white cat I used to live with
Seriously though, you're doing great WhiteSnowdrop, and well done on the MA! :Ta penny picker upper. Thank you Pearla*Merle, for the congratulations on the MA and the glitter information, I shall look forward to it….NOT!! :-)
Nothing too much to report today, another £10 op'd from some cash back I've spent an ungodly amount in Asda today, not food related but rather on some bits we need for the house and we'd decided to put some money from christmas towards them so really shouldn't cost us anything once the money go round has stopped!
I'm away for the weekend self catering so have planned meals and done a mini shop to take with us, it will push my budget over but its cheaper than doing the shop there.
I've added my weight loss target to my signature as it's something I'm focusing on this year. I have a long way to go but I am determined to take it one month at a time and hopefully when I get to the end of the year I'll be where I hope to be.
Off to have DS's shoes checked… wish me luck. ;-)

Had a lovely weekend away and back to reality with a broken boiler! Just waiting in for the repair person at the moment. Op'd another £80 to the mortgage from my wages but nothing more on the horizon at the moment. I need to get on and plan menu's for the next couple of weeks. I'm wanting to have a really frugal February if only to get me back into the swing of things. I'm planning to have a NSD tomorrow if I can pick some milk up today. I also need to bug DH to cancel sky movies as we aren't using it at all. Other than this I don't have any other news…

I'm really trying to run down our store cupboard a little at the moment. I've planned our meals for the next few days and should be able to get away without doing another big shop for a week or so.
Had to buy a few bits from the supermarket today, bread and milk etc. Tea has been an 'if its' type dinner (if its in we'll eat it) consisting of risotto, fish fingers and veg. It wouldn't win any awards but we are all full. Off to ikea tomorrow (joy) to buy more storage for our house. There is always stuff everywhere and whilst I am reducing the stuff we also have very little storage in the house at the moment so I think we need to do a little bit of purchasing.
I have a large pile of clothes to take to £4clothes which I'll aim to do next week. I absolutely promise to get flea bay items photographed and uploaded next week! I'm going to be an Auntie for the first time so I've promised to let my brother have first pick of the remaining baby items I have left before I sell them. I'm not sure I can convince them to use reusable nappies from the looks on their faces when I mentioned them. This is unfortunate really as I have loads to get rid of :-0
Another £10 op'd this morning bringing our total to £340. I want to start Tilly Tidying in Feb, as I was reading a diary and the totals they were talking about seemed loads higher than I was expecting, every little counts!
Have a great weekend
