No, it does not but it does prove my point.

Not to mention the number of posts you made in this thread... And that last one.

Whatever they did to you you seem bent on being argumentative and making sure you create as much trouble as possible, including to yourself.
How to use your time is of course your choice.

LL's are not allowed to profit from the resale of energy.

If the OP has his own meter (not sure if he has, if it's explicit in this thread I've missed it) he's entitled to see how much he's consumed, and how much the energy co have charged. If there is a discrepancy with what the LL has paid he's entitled by law to have it returned.

In my shoes I probably would just cut my losses and run from what is clearly another appalling LL. However, many wouldn't consider the OP to be argumentative for simply asking for the money they've had fraudulently obtained from them returned!

Actually I don't know if I have my own meter (according to the ofgem document it doesn't matter - the LL still needs to show what he has paid and how much he has charged even if he has to work it out based on floor space) I have never even looked as I do not pay directly and did not realise previously that overcharging by the LL was even wrong. £175 all in did not seem unreasonable for bills etc and if I hadn't started this thread I would be none the wiser... nor would I even care.

Part of me says I don't need the money, or the hassle, and should quite happily move to my new place as once I am there I certainly will not give current LL a second thought... the other part of me says that scammers like these irritate me and if I can earn my money in an honest way, then why shouldn't they?

So I don't really know what I will do yet

They should have treated you with the respect and common courtesy that you deserve, not popping into your home whenever they feel like it. So glad I own my property and don't have to put up with pathetic LL's like this shower of sh**e. "JJlandlord's" posts don't fill me with confidence either.... Probably another crappy LL.

    I agree.

The problem is there is no standard required to set yourself up as a LL. Anyone can do it, and obviously many incompetent people do. Same with LAs.

Where did I express a hatred of landlords??? why so defensive?

I expressed my dissatisfaction of BAD landlords, just as I would with anybody providing a service that was below an acceptable standard.

You must be having a bad day... I'll let you off.

1 I think that's been pretty much repeated through this thread in one way or another.

2 Not all LL's are sh**e or crappy, the problem with open forums is you only hear about the bad ones

Point 1 - I was simply defending the op from jj, Op was being criticised for wanting to show the LL the error of there ways.

Point 2 - you're stating a position that I do not hold.... Hence "another crappy LL" inferring that although crap LL's are plentiful, I didn't state anywhere that ALL landlords are crap,
