My bills were included until randomly (without notice or warning) I had a knock at the door and it was the gas board about fitting a new meter... and I was suddenly on my own gas supply (then given a £10/month reduction on rent, then a year later the rent went up again).
They would have been fine if they had included it in the rent, then it would not apply. However, since they charge me for it separately then they are not allowed to profit from this.
Even if they only have one meter covering all the properties they have to work it out based on floor space.
This document from ofgem describes all...

Depending on how much they wind me up between now and when I move out will depend on how many of their 30 properties I print out this information and drop into their other tenants letter boxes!0 -
Now you want to seek further trouble by questioning the utilities bills?
You seem to be creating the 'cans of worms'.
Focus on the issue at hand, which seems to be the viewings and you finding a new place to live.0 -

In the first post the OP says he is buying a place so doesn't need to worry about finding a new rental, or a reference.
These LL/agents sound more and more dodgy; if the OP can compile plenty of evidence hopefully they can be put out of business and save future tenants being ripped off. The fact that people like this have such control over people's lives is frightening. They have presumably been getting away with it for years as people are too nervous of the can of worms. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -

That's not a reason to create as much trouble as possible, now is it?
There is always to sides to a story, and the more posts the more OP appears to not be the most reasonable type either.0 -

You are correct. Upon the discovery of being ripped off, the less reasonable I become with the person(s) who are ripping me off.
If you knew someone was ripping off your neighbours would you not tell them?0 -
When have you been ripped off?
Good luck to you, but you do not seem to be that great a tenant so may have been a good match to your landlord.0 -

I think the fact they are overcharging me for energy classes as being ripped off doesn't it? They are charging me £100 per month for energy, and paying less than that to the energy company. This is based on the average amount I would have paid.
Now, it's probably only £20 a month in my case, but if they have 30 properties and do the same with each, then they are ripping their tenants off to the tune of £6600 per year. Over the 2 years I have been here that's about £500 I guess in my case. Is that acceptable to you?
If you classify a bad tenant as someone who pays their rent every month on time and looks after the property as though it their own then yes I am a bad tenant. I am professional and financially do very well. I do not smoke or have pets and all night partying no longer factors in my life. Yes you definitely want to avoid tenants like me.
It's only when they let themselves into my home without 24 hours notice after I expressly said not to as I had left confidential bank statements out that I changed the code to the front door so they couldn't do this again. If they hadn't done and could have just waited until the next day to show the prospective tenant around then I would never have started this thread... I would never have mentioned the energy bills that someone else picked up on. I would never have searched the internet and found they were overcharging me when they shouldn't be.0 -

No, it does not but it does prove my point.
Not to mention the number of posts you made in this thread... And that last one.
Whatever they did to you you seem bent on being argumentative and making sure you create as much trouble as possible, including to yourself.
How to use your time is of course your choice.0 -

I am sure you are just trolling here... but... I can't help but respond!
So let's say your energy company overcharged you... would you:
a) ask them to refund you what you overpaid (therefore causing trouble as you put it)
or
b) let them keep your money to avoid causing trouble.
In my case the energy supplier is the landlord as they are acting as a re-seller.0 -
