  • Inspired by what I read here, I set off for tesco - newly opened near us. The value porridge oats, beetroot, breakfast marmalade, jaffa cakes and choc digestives are all great. Bought the value baked beans after comparing the contents between these and tesco's ordinary beans - slightly more beans only so worth the gamble. Have a lidl near us and I buy their rice, pasta. cooked meat, chocolate and chocolate raisins, eggs, Also bought their toilet and kitchen roll and nonbio powder - all great but am trying to be more eco friendly, may have to change back as I am skint. Our lidl has some local food, so I buy their haggis (the nicest I have tasted), their cheese which is from glasgow (as is their haggis), they also have really nice frozen breaded haddock from peterhead. Am going to try harder to economise as up to now my grocery bills have been ridiculous!

okay then to start it off

Asda`s brand of diet cola tastes as good as Diet Coca Cola if not better.

My favourite sweet is Marathon(Snickers-go back to America) and Asda and Tescos versions are just as nice and half the price.

    HOORAY!

Lets start a campaign to reclaim Marathon as the name for this yummy bar.

Snickers must have killed sales for the product........it just looks like Knickers or Sniggers to me.
:o Keep trying.........................what else is there to do? :o

Lidl Prawn Crackers - 69p for a big bag (serves 4)
Sainsbury's Basic Jaffa cakes, antiperspirant, bio washing powder (50p), tomato sauce, frozen peas are all good. White chocolate isn't bad. OH and sons say the shaving foam is v unsatisfactory, though!

Tescos own branded tortilla chips are 19p per bag and far better than the likes of Doritoes which are about 80/90p per bag!

    QFT

Also I'm liking Asda's Meat-less meatballs much better than Quorn! cant find the link to them but they ar eon offer at 2 for £3 at the moment.

Ive said it before but Supacell Batteries are better than Duracell or Engeriser Battery ones I think! https://www.supacell.eu.com
