Ooh yes - made my day, it really did. I've had some other v. pos comments from parents. TBH it's been Flyladies and that that have kept me sane, of late. Though I dare say some would question my claim to sanity. Lamewolf - sorry to make you jealous!

WM and DW run - end of flying. House is a pit. Ah well.

    Evening all

Bossy stay out of £land - you are supposed to be stopping spending!

MrsMP - poor DS, glad he is resting and well done for 'noticeable flying'

I've actually done a bit of flying today, and planted out some more plants between the somewhat heavy showers.

DH home. Coridal strained and bottled. Few more emails send. Ironing next but need to organise DS3 for bed first.

There has been serious flying by a clearance company in Mr Boarded Up rip's next door. It took 3 people from 9am to 6pm, 2x big trucks and endless bin bags and boxes to completely clear it out.
Hopefully it will go on the market within the next month. Then the renovations can start.

I have waited for my car to be fixed all day but apparently they need a part from the main dealer. It is home again unfixed :(

Best friend 1 picked me up from the garage and took me to an outlet village for lunch.
Best friend 2 came to watch proceedings on the street and helped me speak to a solicitor who turned up about next door.

Ds1 has been for an induction for his work experience.
Ds2 has been in trouble at school just for a change (not)

I have been doing all my basics every morning by the time I leave so house is ready for anyone :)

I have also finished ds1's medical forms for his driving licence application. Hope they let him have his provisional. I think they may interview him.

Having wax tomorrow, ready for a special treat on Sunday (spa day). This also means I can book docs to see why my hip suddenly has lost its turn out (twisty movement) (bad news for ballet dancing).

I'm not utd with Fred so I hope everyone is ok x

    Good morning all

And the good news here is that the rain has stopped here this morning and there is a big orange ball rising in the blue sky :) Such a pleasant change from yesterday!

Sorry to hear about your hip, dancemum. Hope the Dr can refer you to physio or whatever you need. Good news on your NDN's house!
    GWS to mrs-mp's DS1.
Pigpen, I did that to a fireplace once. It's very satisfying :D
    Wendywitch, enjoy your coffee today.
I'm glad this has been a good week for you, Valli - you are well deserving of the animal fun and positive parental comments :A

    My jobs for today:
    - Drink my first cuppa :)
    - Send PM
    - Check finances
    - Write thankyou letter and cheque ready for posting by DH
    - Be prepared in case DS1 calls between 7.30 and 8.00 on his way to work to drop off DS2's birthday present
    - Finish Unit 4 of the course (did quite a bit yesterday)
    - Make phonecall at 9.00
    - Wash and refill bird feeders (hope to delegate this to OH :p )
    - Raid the fridge for lunch
    - Send DH out to U3A monthly meeting this afternoon
    - Bake cake for DS2
    - Make mini-quiches
    - HHI all for DH: 2 shirts, 2 rugby shirts and 1 pair of trousers
    - Take flowers to helpful friend
    - Quick tidy and dust all round house (it's in good shape atm)
    - Hoover LR carpet and as much as possible of everything else
    - S&S bathroom aka Chinese laundry and kitchen
    - Risotto for tea nom-nom
    - Pack for work meeting, charity Trustees meeting and visit to DS2 and family - not forgetting new phone instruction booklet so that DS2 can help me get it set up properly
    - Make pasta salad for tomorrow

Not much to do then, ... and I'll probably add to the list through the day! But apart from item 6 on the list, most of it is either quick or easy or pleasant or even all three :D

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round x

I have just spent at least 15 minutes gazing out of the study bedroom window at the 4 greater spotted woodpeckers (including at least 2 young - they move too fast to be sure whether there was just 1 or 2 adults!) and 2 thrushes in the ash tree just outside our back garden. The foliage is not yet thick enough for them to hide in, and after yesterday's downpours they've been enjoying sunbathing as well as feeding :D

Keep typing mummyroys - we're in this together!

It's bucketing it down here. I'm kinda thinking (hoping) my friend might not come today. He's never been to my house before and suddenly I'm feeling a little ashamed of my tatty little house :(
He's meant to be coming at 11 so I need to get as much done as possible before then. I also have to drop DD1 to work for 8, I have offered DD2 a lift but she moaned that she'd be at school too early so is going to walk in the rain

    Mini list -
    Have coffee :o
Pick up front room again  dump girls carp in their room
    Change cat litter
    S&S bathroom
    Load WM
    S&S kitchen
Remember to shut bedroom doors :o:D

    Easily doable, right?

    Morning!

Well I have not flown all week :( so today I'm going to be active. Need to get DS off to school, DD was shattered last night (to meltdown point ) so expect she will be fairly quiet today. Mum is visiting this morning so they can sit and do play dough together ;)

Also expecting new slide to arrive, so can't go anywhere.

    List for today:
    [STRIKE]Collect laundry
    Build slide :T
    15min kitchen declutter
Decide on tea - sorted, DS said sausage pasta - easy enough![/STRIKE]
    Mend DD handbag book
Clean fridge, run DW and WM on clean cycles etc
    Book airport parking
[STRIKE]Tidy desk area and wipe over[/STRIKE]
    Wipe table and chair legs
    Check paint cupboard

That'll do I think, DD will want some cuddle time so that will be the important job ;)
    Bossymoo

    Away with the fairies
