Tired. Been a busy day at the paid stuff but have managed to declutter, dust and hoover the living room. Kitchen needs a bit of a finishing off and might put a whites wash on, DS2 played cricket and came home with his whites splattered in mud from head to foot, the school field was very wet apparently!

Oh and I also managed to update my finances spreadsheets and count some cash for my voluntary job that needs banking and I have been trying not to look at.

I will clear that to do list - I will!!!

    Today I have

    held a tarantula
stroked a hissing cockroach; guinea pigs, a chinchilla, bearded dragons, corn snakes, a tortoise and observed tree frogs - and a millipede from a rainforest - so somewhat bigger than the ones we're used to!

Fkying - laundry re-homed. washing done, DW emptied and refilled. Have optimistically put washing out at 6:30

Oh - and I have had a WONDERFUL comment from a parent about her child's progress (and my effort), written in a reading diary. Made my day!

    Hi all,

    <shuffles in yawning>

Not been around today - paid stuff 6.30 - 4.00 then kid stuff, then some volunteering paperwork, so been pretty full on. But we've all been out all day, so no mess made and MIL always leaves us tidy on a Tuesday :A

I did load the dinner things into DW and get pack ups ready and uniforms though.

Suspect tomorrow will be more of the same, but DD and I are at home on Thursday awaiting delivery of our new slide! How exciting! Will probably not build it until Friday when FIL can take charge, unless it looks easy... Anyway, flying will recommence in earnest on Thu/Fri.

    Promise :p

Had extra paid work today but managed to keep kitchen sparkly and all now tidy and PA.

DH ate a frog yesterday and put up our new house numbers we bought in Portugal (those hand painted numbers and ends). They have only been sitting in the kitchen since February 2013 :rotfl: It only took him 20 mins and that included finding the cement stuff to stick them up with.

Must say a big thank you to you all as it certainly is easier to do the housework if you keep on top of it and get organised, and this thread is helping me to do that. Feel quite ashamed when I hear how busy some of you are and it kind of spurs me on knowing I can't blame my sprogs for the mess as they've all moved out  Make the most of the days you have with them as it soon passes ;)

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday though it's forecast wet everywhere :(

I lost today to sewing DD's blooming school pants (3 belt loops made & attached, 2 name labels stitched in separate pants - there are times when I wish her name wasn't so long. Those times being filling out forms and sewing on name labels :rotfl:) so I haven't done my exercise challenge, wii time or the paperwork I wanted to get done for work  I have done DD's forms (nearly forgot) and my returns for work ready to go back tomorrow with the courier. Ironing has been sorted, stuff we'll need put at the top of the piles and it's all in one basket now. I'll try to squeeze HHI in before work tomorrow ;)

Right now, I'm off to bed. I need to get up and moving in the morning!

Morning all. Well done Piggers and what a great day you had Valli.

As predicted I didn't get anything done from the list yesterday, but I'm about to start on today's list with the downstairs loo.

    Have a great day everyone.

I had 2 years off work as when my son was really ill and I found it hard to organise myself and focus on the jobs that needed doing. Then I felt bad because my house was messy and I was at home all the time! I think this housework business isnt easy however much time you have. Mind you I could do with a few less balls to juggle at the moment.

Managed to munch a couple of frogs yesterday. The car is in the garage today so this could really throw my day out depending on how long it takes. I am really hoping its not too expensive either.

    Nice to be appreciated Valli!
