Just a quickie because I'm sooooo tired (rotten night's sleep - woke up at half 4 and got myself worried because I hadn't felt the baby move - as if I would, I'd been asleep! - but of course had to get up and wander around and drink cold water and poke my belly 'til it woke up, then couldn't get back to sleep for it wriggling .... *sigh*).

Anyway, a question: Did my big freezer defrost yesterday and found 2 garlic baguettes from a historical BOGOF, so bunged them in the oven rather than waste them. Strangely neither of us felt much like having any with our gammon last night! They're looking at me rather forlornly but I can't begin to imagine what I could do with them other than chuck them :( - any idea?

All the best to all those (am I the only one who isn't?!) undergoing dental traumas today. I hope the sun comes out - I think yesterday was perhaps summer over and done with!

    :)

    Bore da,
Up late again... oh, what a shame! MiL arrives today so maybe I was in denial.

Hospital with OM yesterday... well, he was quite fed up as he expected an answer, but as they had cancelled the 2 previous appointments none of his test results were recent. Doctor almost blamed our GP! So more tests and back in TWO months - so they will be out of date again? Great!

Shall wear pinny and house clean like I mean it today. I sneaked a quick post on last night as I cannot post the photos until I have a 'photo host'. Shall trawl the site as I hope they are available free!

Been thinking about changes I want to make to my life after the 'health LBM',
and although the list is not complete, this house is high on the list of things I want to change. Move or not move? well either way it will need to be sorted out! I've been gradually de-cluttering for 2 years (this year's holiday for OM and me is courtesy of my e-bay profit!) so will kick it up a notch and then look to Fly Lady as a summer holiday project.

Lymph consultant this afternoon - hope he just smiles and says goodbye! Scar is looking good - well, I can't see it but that is what OM says.

Have a good day! Off to do some more carpe diem-ing!

    Good morning all

JackieO - The best thing about the prosthesis(sp?) is that you can really embarass your grandchildren like my Nan used to do - she'd "whoop" out her chicken fillets at any given oppertunity and had a very bright and colourful range of turban style scarves that she wore until her hair came back - she was a very positive person but didn't actually go and get her lump checked out for 13 years (was to shy to see a male doctor - so kept it a secret - bless her). It's great to see you being so up about it, fingers crossed for you.

Talking of spiders, yesterday morning when I went to make the bed, I moved DH's pillow and there was a spindly legged spider and a ball of fluff - I managed to shake it onto the floor where my trusty cat ate it - he loves spiders....later when I went to hoover the bedroom I touched the hoover pipe against the "fluff" which then burst open with baby spiders running amock! Luckily I got them all with the hoover before they spread to far but I can just imagine the fun we'd have had last night in bed if he'd have put his head on the pillow. ( I can cope with spiders when I'm armed :D )

Had a falling out with an internet friend yesterday too, he said that maybe we should forget the fertility treatment we're on and just be greatful for the 2 children we've got. Maybe I'm being to touchy but that just seemed like a very flippant and crass comment to make - having 2 children already doesn't mean that the want and desire for another is any less.

After a recent bout of bloatedness I've decided to cut the carbs for a few days to see if it helps, had a lovely brekkie this morning of bacon, scrambled eggs, beans and toms, although the washing up after it wasn't so nice.
Need some inspiration for lunch and tea now so off to see what I can find.

Hope you all have a great day.

    Morning Every1,

Feeling a bit fragile today; I'm sure I'm coming down with OH bug. I watched bits of Dirt last night and in it a guy came home to find his sick cat had died. That was all it took to send me into floods of tears remembering when Homer-cat dropped dead from a bloodclot early last year 2 days before his 7th birthday. He was the one big soppy dufus of a cat that had been a great big cuddle comfort to me in the previous month after my Dad had died from smoke inhalation, and it seemed so unfair that he could die so young. If he'd been a bit of a beast it might not have seemed so unfair but he was a "good" cat and a lot of comfort when dealing with the twits etc in banks tht haven't had "how to deal with death of a customer" training.

Anyway, being able to go into floods of tears so easily implies I'm now well on the way to coming down with the bug - plus the mega-sneezing I did in bed (which probably woke the neighbour up) was probably a bit of a hint. ;) So don't know whether to push full-frontal on physical stuff or take it easier today. Having big swollen eyes from the crying doesn't help either. Oh well. I suppose it's better than the dust irritation I had from cleaning yesterday.

Have just let a friend know that if her kids want to come round and play with PsychoKitty thats fine. This is only the second friend that has ever been invitied into this junk heap, so a major step for me! So I will make a push on getting the obvious junk out of the way, although we won't sit downstairs - it's too cluttered with car boot stuff waiting for a sunny weekend.

Strange things going on with the neighbours house. From being "under offer" on the website on the weekend, it's now not again, and they've finally (after almost a year) put an outside photo on that looks like it's her house for sale. You'd think that would be basic wouldn't you? Up to now, the two photos they've used in the papers and shop window have looked like it's my house for sale ---- since my outside windows etc, need painting and the house doesn't look smart, that must have put people off. You'd think the neighbour would have complained before now!

(((Hugs))) to other people with aches and pains and mishaps, esp. (((JackieO))) & Pen-Pin. Happy OSing.

    Morning All

Kyle - I can totally sympathise I have a big spider phobia, now I will be looking for them all day.

    Meanmarie - Happy Anniversary

JackieO - your family sound lovely, take care.

Did school run in hot sunshine but its now gone. Hope it stays dry as DS is meant to be on a school trip to the Zoo, I say meant to be as he was still saying he didnt want to go all the way to school, I took him to his classroom and left him in tears which wasnt nice - hopefully he will enjoy himself.

Trying to get through to the England Fans telephone line at the moment as we have been allocated tickets to see England play Germany in August. We will definately get a ticket but looks like all the good ones will be gone by the time I get through, it still will be bril whever we sit.

Its my DD's birthday today and I am behind as she opened her presents this morning. Loads of paperwork to do and have pc man coming at one to look at my wireless network again although its working perfectly at the moment - always the way. Family coming round tonight and we are having fish and chips.

Best get off now and try phoning again - have a wonderful day all.

Forgot to say tooth is now refilled. My dentist did say that if it goes again then I would need a crown, so my mouth feels normal again wasnt painful but I was worried I was going to get an infection. Best part was that I didnt get charged as apparantly it was under guarantee. Good luck to those going to the dentist today.

    Morning everyone!

Unusually for me, I feel like carp this morning. Didn't go to bed til late (watched Spinal Tap film), and was disturbedby DH getting up at 1.15 and still not being back at 3.50am. He had to get up at 7, so he's going to be in a foul mood when he gets home. I tried to sleep in, but was having some weird half-sleep dreams. My neck feels like I've been in an arm lock, so I'll have to find my neck stretcher and lie on the floor for a few mins.

I'm dressed ready for the gym, but I'm just sooooooo tired.

Need to go out and get some cream to make butter.I was planning ot go to Costco or Makro, but I don't really want anything else, so it's a bit of a false economy IYSWIM. Will do a quick supermarket comparison and see who's cheapest for cream.

I'll pop back later, when I'm not feeling so sorry for myself.

Have a good day everyone xxx

Waiting for the washing machine to finish its third load this morning so that I can peg it out before DH drives me to Newcastle to pick up DD.

Dishwasher has been loaded, pans have been given a quick wash and hob has been cleaned up from yesterday.

Hugs to jackieO and penny pincher.
