    Hi All,

Things are so hectic here at the moment I've booked a couple of days off work to catch up with the chores. I am in the middle of a couple of the most hectic weeks Ive ever had probably! DD's had a dance show last week, which meant lots of running back and forth to the theatre, but the show was fantastic and they really enjoyed it. DD1 had a day at her new secondary school last week too.
This week its the year 6 play, evening meetings at the new school plus a meal out for me and a bbq, by the time the schools break up I think we will all collapse in a heap.
Plans for today are - Sainsburys shop (done) bit of washing, tumble drying and washing up(done) Put away ironing and clean the bathroom (will do later)
Have just been up the garden and picked a panful of peas to go with tea and a tubful of strawberries for DD's lunchboxes tomorow.
Before starting the next jobs I need to sort out the finances, (after Ive torn myself from here) my excuse is its my lunchbreak!

Hugs to anyone who needs one, especially JackieO and PP.
  • washing up, done
clean the frogs done and only one escaped lol.normally they both do a runner in different directions.
    hoover through done
make some cakes or biscuits About to do....honest
plan a dinner done pizza and chips.
clean bath (messy bathbombs) done, this is where i have to clean out the frogs.
write 2 letters to pen friends doing later on
change the bed linen. done.and currently in washing machine.

    i`m proud of myself lol.
im hunting about for some cakes or/and biscuits to make, i fancy trying something new.

    kind regards

It is DS 21st birthday next week and I really dont know what to get him I would have liked to have got him a piece of Jewellery but he is not really into anything fancy, any ideas? I think his girlfriend is buying him a watch will check that though

Good afternoon! I'm eating my corned beef sandwich for lunch (more crumbs on the keyboard, I really must stop doing this!)

POOKY - PLEASE remember to empty your hoover! I hoovered a huge spider up years ago and, when I emptied it about three weeks later, it was twice the size! Apparently, they live on the dust!
FBT - Hope you're soon feeling better.
DANNAHAZ - It's not like you to be so 'down' - try and squeeze in an afternoon nap! That always makes me feel better.

Well, I've seen the hygienist - a new one, probably trained by
a sadist because she was quite brutal! I don't usually mind the hygienist but - well, I thought she was pulling my teeth right out! And I'm sure I nearly drowned! Anyway, that's nothing compared to how brave JackieO is. You are truly inspirational, JackieO, and your daughters sound terrific.

I did a trawl around a couple of charity shops after my trip to the dentist and found some old Butterick sewing patterns for some really quite trendy dresses so I may well get the sewing machine out again! I also found some books including a lovely one called 'A 1001 Ways to make You Smile' which is really good. Expect me to be quoting things from it soon!

The weather is so strange - it rains a bit, then the sun shines for a bit, then it gets a bit windy and then it rains again! I can't keep up with it - my washing is in and out of the garden like a yoyo!

Dinner tonight is DGS's favourite - cold meat salad with oven chips for him and new potatoes for us and fresh pineapple for pud. We should have had the pineapple for yesterdays' pud but I made AUSSIELASS'S Impossible Pie and we had that instead. It was luuuuuuuvley! Thanks, AUSSIELASS!

Oh, well, had better get something done. DGS will be here at 3.30 - I might just have a nap first!

    Have a lovely afternoon.

Mioliere - I always hoover the spiders up. And we get some massive ones in this house. Mind you, a couple of weeks ago we had a crowd of flies so I've been leaving the spiders alone since then. Oh my. I think I'll try and "delegate" hoover emptying to my DH.

Must be something in the air about spiders DS (5) woke me up last night after a dream about spiders dropping onto his bed.

Had to nip out and get a new iron today. Tried ironing yesterday but every time I switched the thing on the electric in the whole house kept cutting out.

Need to collect DS from school in a mo. Then he, DD and I will go to butchers and greengrocers to get something for dinner. Think sausages and baked potatoes and veg will do. DH and I might have sausage and pepper goulash later. I much prefer us all eating together but I've found that, even with a snack after school, the kids just don't eat as much at 6 as they do at 5. I think they get too hungry and are starting to get tired by then. So I've had to give in. As long as they eat with us at the weekend I feel they are getting some family meal times. Hopefully as they get older things will get better. Does mean DH and I can have some more spicy stuff through the week though as we don't have to worry about having the same as the kids.

See you soon. Better wake up DD. Get the buggy together and then manhandle the buggy and the scooter round to school

    take care.

(hugs JackieO and Pen Pin, sorry, I read the thread soo long ago that I've forgotten most of it.:o )

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hi again! the numbness is wearing off and the painkillers have kicked in so I'm happy for now! The dentist seemed quite pleased with the root canal although he said it was a difficult and complicated one! He has filled it and said to expect another 5 days of pain till it settles down then I get a crown put on. Back again on Friday for the bridgework!

Spent a lovely morning with friend making alphabets with her new quickcutz die cutter, checked she had all she needed, had 2 cuppas with her and then dashed back to clean teeth again pre dentist visit. Will pop back as soon as she needs another cuppa!

I have just managed to grate up large block of cheese into 4 x 4oz packs for the freezer and have started some smoothie ziplocs going (thanks Pen Pin!) no wonder I never have any room in the freezer it is jam packed of left over goodie bags! Just as well as this week is a no shop (other than veg box) week. Just need to start a trifle off for tomorrow. Bananas and custard tonight. We are still on the soft foods only diet!
    Loving the cheesey mash Twink!

(((hugs))) to JackieO and all who need them

Bon voyage to Twinks dil and Happy Birthday :bdaycake: to Essex girls dd

    hugs to all in need or want, plenty to go round;

Dannahaz...I know it will be nicer, but how can it make economic sense to make butter from bought cream??

Off now to make up for the one glass of Pinot Grigio at lunch!

    Evening all :hello:

Gosh, this warm weather is exhausting! I got sun burnt on Saturday (silly, I know but it was the first day that it hadn't rained and I didn't think about it!) at the school's summer fete. I was on the Human Fruit Machine, which basically meant that I could sit around chatting with other members of staff and then get upset when someone wanted a go! :D

I've got a list of 101 things to do before we move, some of which get ticked off, only to be replaced by other things that I think about!

DH has had an excellent day: he's been offered a job! :j :j All those months and evenings of studying have paid off! :j :j We're just waiting to see how much (but it's not going to be any less than he's on now and it's only just gone up :j :j). AND they're going to pay for his training! How great is that?! Simple things, simple minds etc. (his current company failed to pay for a promised qualification which is the precise reason that he's been looking around for a new job!

Oooh, sounds like we're going out for a celebratory curry, (OS, obviously - though I don't know how!!!).

    Bye
