This is just a trick the travel agents use to get more money out of you. Teletext holidays are advertised at net price so they use tactics like this to get some commission in the booking. You'll also get to hear that the flights have gone up, you'll find your baggage costs will be more expensive than what the airline sell them for. There is an under occupancy fee. All tricks of the trade unfortunately.

So for your £80 you got a bigger nicer, room with a bigger, nice bathroom.

There is nothing to complain about here.

I think you'll find OP is complaining that they got sold a upgrade that didn't actually exist, I would certainly complain about that.

Can I suggest that when you do complain you do so in a calm, logical tone and don't end every sentence with half a dozen exclamation marks.

"We recently booked a hotel with you, ref XXX. Your operator explained that we could upgrade our room for an additional £80, which we were keen to do. Upon arrival here at the hotel in Spain, we inquired whether our upgraded room had been arranged. The manager informed us that there are no upgrade rooms available, and that all the rooms are exactly the same. Therefore I respectfully request a refund of the £80, as we have not received what we paid for".

    Or something to that effect.

In the meantime, enjoy your holiday, it could be much worse. We once arrived to a building site where the hotel should have been.

    Than you so much.
I will enjoy the Hoiiday and have now calmed down.

Do you have a web-based email account? (e.g. Gmail, Hotmail, etc.)

If yes, does your Kindle include a web browser?

If yes, simply use the web interface to read, create and send emails. Seemples. :)

Aqua111 - when you upgraded your room, did the terms of the room upgrade specifically state that there would be a bath in the bathroom?
