It's the luck of the draw really. She is delighted though and her best friend who got the same score is going to the same grammar school so she couldn't be happier!:)
Hopefully in years to come they will sort this transfer debacle out and stop putting parents and little children through undue stress for months on end!0 -

Great news that's she going with her best friend - that's all they think about at their age! Great that she's got into grammar too - makes her feel it was worth while doing those awful tests. Couldn't agree more that hopefully this whole debacle will be sorted out soon!0 -

OMG again - I'm beginning to fear for my DS now. It sounds as though scores may have risen right across the board. The previous highest to get into Sullivan was 102 so it appears to have jumped at least 6 points!
(Hopefully it's only the Rory McIlroy effect!)
Still no sign of our postie .......................................................0 -
I don't understand such huge jumps as the average is always standardised to 100 so would think it must be more doing test and more applications for certain schools.
Also, the lowest score could be one person with special circumstances which is different to actual cut offs for other candidates.0 -
Have heard of 104 not getting into strathearn0

Hi folks, I am totally shocked to hear of such high scores not getting in to their first or even second choice schools. It just goes to show that this whole process is totally unpredictable, it really does seem to be luck of the draw! Daughter got in to BRA, which was her first choice so she is very happy.0

Thank goodness daughter got her first choice of Methody with a score of 105 she has an older sister in the school which definitely helped.
So so glad it over for us0
