  • Well that's my daughter in bed, we can do no more. All that work and effort she's put in and I can only hope it will reflect in her score. She seems very calm so hope it stays that way in the morning. I am acting calm in front of her but inside I feel so nervous for her.

The hubby came in from work tonight coughing and sneezing, I really had to stop myself from locking him out of the house!

Night everyone, good luck for tomorrow. Think my daughter was calmer than me tonight (my insides are doing somersaults! Lol)
  • Workingmumof2 - hope all the bugs have left your house !

VeggieNI - don't fret - I'm sure your DD will get a great score - mid 80s should place her well above an AQE score of 100 :T

Well we've all done our best for them and now we just need them to stay calm - easier said than done - my son is in bed but is still awake and just told me he feels strange! I think he means he's a bit nervous. He just said he can't believe he's doing the test tomorrow as its been such a long time coming around. His friend told him to eat an egg and a banana for breakfast - for lots of energy! I laughed even though I feel like crying as this is quite stressful for the kids whether they show it or not. :(

Very best of luck to you and yours tomorrow.
Now try and get some sleep!
    xo
  • Dear All

Just want to thank you all for the support you have given me over this last few months - v good of Rolo to give us some words of encouragement - glad to hear papers are all the same difficulty.

I hope all your kids get a good night's sleep and get on well tomorrow.
  • Just want to say a last good luck to everyone and thanks for all the support (no one else has got the bug yet). I only joined this forum a few weeks ago but have found it fab at being able to share this experience with others going through the same thing. I don't think anyone else understands how stressful it is unless they have had kids go through it and don't think you could even compare the 11+ to this. My d is now in bed but has been hyper all evening which I think is the nerves, just hope she's calm tomorrow. i don't know about everyone else but I feel mentally exhausted and can't wait to get this first test over xx

Daughter going to bed now...had quite an eventful day...firstly while playing in the playground she got knocked flying by another pupil and cut her head, elbow and knee, then when she was in class later on she tripped and banged her front tooth and lip on her desk:eek:
We got a phone call from the school to tell us what had happened, but they said she didn't want to go home:o
    Talk about panic...
She seems OK now, although her top lip is swollen, and I think we will take her to the dentist on Monday to check her tooth.
I would be hitting the vino now, only I am up at 5 in the morning to go to work:)
Good luck to each and every one of you:T:T:T
  • Oh dear Mr Bun - what an unfortunate series of events - thankfully it wasn't too serious though.

I'll have another glass of vino for you !

My son has been absolutely hyper all evening - you would think this was Christmas Eve. Maybe most of the kids have been over excited today due to nerves and that's why so many mishaps occurred with your daughter.

    Best wishes :)

Yes I'm sure the teacher is right. Teachers must see so much stress in P7 kids at this time of year.

There must be a better way to decide on transfer to secondary level - just wish they'd hurry up and find it for everyone's sake.
