Just be patient, all will be revealed once we know exactly where we stand with this, it's down to the defendants whether they will go forward with this.

Meanwhile in the alternate reality that is PE

When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

The judge granted leave to appeal, does anyone know if he set a time limit on that appeal?

They have 21 days to appeal according to comment #11 by Bargepole

Quick update: One of the defendants, Mr Beavis, has decided to go ahead with the appeal, and all the paperwork has been lodged with the Royal Court of Justice in The Strand today (day 21).

No further information can be given, or questions answered about this, until directions are issued by the Court of Appeal, except to say nothing is likely to happen for 2-3 months at least.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

Blydi hell, is his nickname "Balls-of-Steel" Beavis?

Anyway, good on him, and if there's a fighting fund I'm in. This is the nightmare scenario for ParkingEye, would've been better (safer) for them if they'd simply lost in Cambridge and decided not to appeal.

    Good luck to all.

There will be a lot of PPC's unhappy with ParkingEye if (and hopefully when) the appeal is successful.

Just bear in mind that PE have played canny with this, in that they pay to "lease" the car park in question. This only accounts for a very small proportion of car parks that PE "manage". So the outcome of this appeal may not be the "grand toppling of PPCs" that we may hope for.
