In my household there is 6 of us Myself, OH, DS1, DS2,DS3 and a DD. We also have my OH 3 children for dinner every fortnight for 1 night.

My budget is £300. I know Its high but this is me trying prove to the OH that we can eat decently for less than he thinks!

I don't think that's a lot! There's 6 of you for £10 per day, I'd say that's not bad. Remember that everyone has different circumstances, if you just want to cut back while still eating well, that's fine. You don't need to compare with anyone else, just enjoy the camaraderie and the savings!

    That said, welcome back!

will be back in a bit to put on yesterday's spends.

  • I haven't been around for quite a while (since 2011!) but I just found out yesterday that we are facing a £400 per month drop in our income :( I used to be pretty good at the grocery challenges and I was still quite frugal in the years since I last visited. But I haven't been keeping count, so we'll see just how capable I am these days! We're a family of four, so I'm going to try £300 for August to see how we go.

    Hi all

Can I please be put down for £250 for August? This is really high but it's because I've done massive stock ups on cleaning products and staples for the cupboards. Hoping to come in well under £250 but need to be a bit realistic this month. This is for 25th July - 25th August
