My receipts from the week just gone add up to £53.78, but that includes a big box of choccies and card as a gift for the staff at LO's nursery.

So that's the bulk of my shopping done for August, won't call it yet tho as may have to top up something I've forgotten before month end.

At mo, I have £19.31/£180 left should I need it - looking forward to my first underspend in many months tho!!!

Our month ends on Saturday which will be our first shop with September's pay and we're just a little (£5) over budget. Overall I think we've done really well for a first try, and will definiately be trying again next month!

3 more teeny tiny spends today, adding up to £2.48.

£1 at the market stall on a huge bowl of baby plum tomatoes. Too good an offer to pass up, and they'll definitely get used.

99p on chocolate at the 99p shop. It was just that kind of day - no willpower!

49p (I think) on milk at Waitrose. I stopped off on my way home, sometime after 8, hoping they'd have some reduced stuff. Just a few rolls that were still Lidl price, some gimmicky fruity cheese and a few slices of ham (I'm vegetarian.) So I left with just the milk.

    £65.74/£90

Husband was not impressed this morning when the fruit bowl was empty! There was no weetabix (OH has this every morning) and one of the kids had to have rice crispies instead of porridge! The drama!!!!

Top of my list for today....
    Porridge
    Weetabix
    Fruit

Does anyone know if the aldi voucher is in the paper today?

    Hi

I finished this month on £149.36 / £150 which is under ( which is good ) but only just. However, I've loads left in the cupboards and freezer and we are away for nearly 2 weeks of sept so I'm going to see how little I can manage on but not actually join in in September (if that makes sense)
I don't want to run my stocks down too much but also don't like leaving loads in the freezer when we are away in case we have a power cut and I don't know about it.

We'll done to everyone here because even if you haven't quite managed your target it still means you are in control of your money :)

Have a good September challenge everyone
    Cuddles :)

I usually end my month on 23rd but as I'm on holiday most of next month I decided to extend this month until we go tomorrow. I'm really pleased that although I've extended the month I've still come in under budget (just added 26p to signature which I forgot about! I bought some tomatoes & a red onion yesterday!) but I think this is mainly because we've been eating out of the freezers quite a lot and I've managed to empty one of them and turn it off while we're away (so will also save a bit on the leccy!).

I usually shop on a Thursday but with going away I haven't had to get anything at all. Thought I might have needed to buy some milk to take with us but we've still got 1/2 a 4 pinter left so that will be plenty and we can buy some fresh when we get there.

Yes it is in todays paper - daughter just used hers.

Have spent £25.55 today between A!di and paying myself back for some meat out of the freezer. This takes spends up to £149.10 out of a budget set at £200. Will need a few bits over the weekend but will be fine. £50 per week suits us and leaves us with some ££s in the pot if we need it.
Soup and toasties for us tonight and have just taken mum a flask of soup down for her to have.
