    Ooooohhh,very quiet around here today.......
I probably could have lasted a few more days without grocery shopping, but I started back at Slimming World this week,so did need to replace a few basics (fruit, veg mostly). If I wasn't back at SW,there was plenty of food in the house(cos I am very good at ignoring the fruit bowl):rotfl:,but thought I really must get back ontrack.
    So spent £40.95 in Aldi
Also nipped across the road to Morrisons because my daughter requested some fruit teas,so got her that.
    Total spend today was £43.43
    Total for August £141.51/£300

Oops had a very spendy few days since last posted and have managed to get through £55.60  We did need a few things that don't buy every week - shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent etc
Forgot to say earlier but the cheese scones were lovely and will be making them again
Last night we had chilli & rice and have frozen four portions which were left, have also picked some parsley before it went past it and chopped it then froze it in ice cube tray.
Meal plans all done till Thursday and most things in so with luck will spend very little until then.
    MARCH £62.38/250

I decided to take the plunge and start buying kids' school uniforms today. At £123 for enough uniforms(shirts, trousers, skirts),and a few pairs of undies and socks for 3 youngest children,am very glad that's not coming out of the grocery budget .Still need to buy everyone's shoes(4 prs) and eldest daughter's uniform.(used double-up vouchers, which took £10 off,so actaually paid £113 for uniforms

Still while I was in tesco for the first time in ages,I bought a few items (including pens for school, Muller light yoghurts, margarine, shampoo and conditioner). Most things bought was on some sort of special,so that added another £22.96 to the monthly shop.(Originally £35.43,but there was BOGOF's,2fors ,and also after a £4.50 clubcard voucher.I would have preferred to use that voucher to double-up on uniform discount, but to double up,it needed to be a multiple of £5.)

Really hoping that is all the grocery shopping I need to do for a while now. There is plenty of food in the house-it should just be fruit and milk I need to buy later this week.

Monthly spend so far is £164/300

With a week to go, I've just totted up this month's spends. Its the scary sum of £475.26

This is all spends noted on my credit card (I use it to collect points and pay it off in full) so there may of course be the odd cash spend that I've long since lost the receipt for.

Its interesting how I visit the supermarket on my way home and just "buy a few bits" which don't cost very much but then it all adds up...

At least it has given me an idea of how much I'm spending and something to work with next month.

The total did also include a new kitchen bin (£10) plus some toiletries from b00ts (£20 odd) plus some lunchy bits when we were in London last weekend.

    Still scary though :(

Just out of curiosity denise, does the £200+ cover drinks or just food and general groceries? I try to come in at £200 but booze is in the er....entertainment budget.;)
My £200 is just for food and all household stuff. We have a separate wine budget as we both drink a glass with our dinners :D

Have had another couple of NSD and yesterday just milk at 75p from Al*i. Still well on course this month though there were no vouchers in the S paper here in Scotland this week :( and was hoping to get f & v and also make some soup for freezer.

Hope you all have a super Sunday

Need to report £4.91 spend whilst I'm up with lark (one of the cats has woke me up and I am up again for work soon).

This was in M*rrisons on malted milk drink, coke on offer for girls (weekly treat on a Saturday) and tortillas to go with tea. Then got coerced into a £ on sweets in 1stop.
