NSD yesterday and today. I'm still looking for the receipts of Sunday's shop, I'm probably dreading updating my spends...First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

Paid a visit to Mr T yesterday to get some rump steak (which is going in the freezer for now, and none of which will be used this month) and some chorizo and salami for when I make pizza for DS1 (starting with last night - plan to portion up and freeze the rest).
Then a visit to A1di for tomatoes and mushrooms.
Signature updated. Now 56.7% of the way into the month and 62.03% of the way through the budget.
Looking at my meal plan I need 5 portions of new potatoes, 9 jacket potatoes, veg for 15 plates (at least 3 portions per plate if I can find things to suit meals/people at a good price), a bag of frozen chips, milk for DS1 (no idea how much, but probably 5 lots of 4 pints) and meat for sandwiches over the rest of the month. If I can hold off another big spend at C0stco I should be OK with what I've got left, so I may scrap plans to meet OH there on Saturday and just give him a shopping list for me instead (definitely want one item at £3 which is for the freezer but on offer at the moment, and would like another at £4.50 which will cover sandwich meats until the end of the month).
I was sooooo tempted to go and get a tub of ice-cream yesterday it was ridiculous !! But I'd have had to crowbar it into the freezer, shouldn't be eating dairy more than absolutely unavoidable (trying to get back to regular exercise which sets off my lactose intolerance), and need to reduce refined sugar and calorie intake. Plan over the next couple of days is to dig out all my tinned fruit (almost all is in juice rather than syrup) and have that to hand in case my sweet tooth kicks in during the evenings.Cheryl0 -
I have meal planned for the week but did need fresh fruit and a few bits yesterday so spent:
M&S - GF sausages - £4.00
Mr T - GF bread - £2.40
Aldi - fruit, milk, eggs, bread, pots - £18.66
Total spent = £25.06
Total for June = £321.75
I received a till spit for £9 off £60 for Mr T yesterday which runs out the day before my July starts so I may end June 1 day early to take advantage of this. My plan is to stock up on items I cant get at Aldi such as my GF stuff and use Aldi the rest of the month. We are away for 1 week in July and the food spends for that week come out of our spending money.
The contents of my larder cupboard seem to be going down so I am going to have a good sort out and list the contents today.

Have done a small shop of mainly fruit and veg + loo rolls (didn't want to run out of those, LOL!)
Spent a total of £13.79 so June spending stands at £220.35/£250. Doesn't leave much for the rest of the month, which ends next Tuesday but will need another shop on Thursday for things like milk, bread, yoghurt and more fruit and veg. Think I may go over a bit again this month but I'm still spending less than I used to before starting the GC.

Bought some crisps and oatcakes, £1.65 to add. Tesc0 delivery due any minute, should be around £25 because I had a £10 off voucher due to rubbish service last time.... I STILL haven't had the promised phone call to apologise, but ten quid speaks louder than an apology as far as I am concerned!
What a shame!maybe if you see the manager when you're next there you could ask them - at my Ald1 there is normally one on the shop floor somewhere

Spent £12.87 today on yet more fruit & veg plus milk. So now total is £101.03 with 56% of the month over and 50% of the budget gone - not too bad although have spent more than usual due to being ill and not wanting to eat many things have ended up going shopping most days, this will change from Thursday when hopefully get back to normal shopping habits.MARCH £62.38/2500

Would it not be cheaper to buy a normal bottle of wine instead of those tiny ones.
I know, I usually buy a bottle to cook with and drink the rest. But I don't drink often and this weekend was a heavy drinking one for me as family were down. I still have vodka and beer in my fridge left over and didn't want to buy wine as well.
£18.64 spent today, fridge all stocked up. Going to attempt a moussaka tonight for the first time!
This leaves me with £15.10 for the rest of the month, I have plenty of meat in the freezer. It should last me if I do some serious meal planning.

Various spends over last couple of weeks add up to £57.66.
We are moving house next month so hoping to cut down on fresh items and use up the cupboard and freezer stock.GC: £40 a week. Sticking to my budget, but never remembering to post in the relevant thread.
Probably buying toiletries that I don't need, as I can't resist a "bargain."
