    Hiya everyone

Another NSD for us today :j

Florenceem - I made JJ's Herby Cheese Bread
that sounds really nice, where would I find the recipe please.

I used my new yoghurt maker today for the first time - been too busy last couple of weeks to get to it - and it seems to have 'yogged' ok although a bit runny. Have put in fridge and will try it tomorrow :)

We had a big Sunday brunch today for a change - full breakfast with all the trimmings. For tea DH had HM chicken satay sticks, with HM potato wedges, beetroot and salad. I had a large salad with a couple of satay sticks :D

Hope you all have a marvellous Monday

hi what weight is t he meat content as i bought a 800 gram boneless pork shoulder frozen in iceland last week, put it in slowcooker cooked for 4 hours took it out and shredded it , made own bbq sauce really easy made it sweet , meat cost 3 quid so i went back and got 3 more for freezer for over the summer, it did us 3 massive portions and 3 more made up in sauce for an easy meal this week hope you dont mind me mentioning but i find its usually half the amount of meat in the ready made packets xxx

I'm making a butternut squash, lentil & chickpea curry for dinner tonight but when I checked the cupboard I found I hadn't got any chickpeas left! As I had to go to Dr's this morning I popped into the local shop and bought a couple of tins - they were cheaper than Mr Ts @ 35p a tin!

Glad I checked before I went out and not when I went to cook it this afternoon, LOL! It would have ended up as butternut squash & lentil curry!

  • Hi everyone.

Well we have been away for the weekend so I've waited to update my spends as there's always extras needed while we are away.

Total so far is £45.03 for this week and I'm hoping that will be it as long as no one raids the cupboards.

I'm making bread again today to go with a lentil, bacon and tomato soup. Will try not to eat it all as I'd like the bread for breakfast tomorrow and soup for the freezer.

Everyone seems to be doing very well and their meals are an inspiration. :T

Hello everyone :) Expensive weekend but not out of grocery budget - we went to the seaside on Saturday had fish and chips, visit to the aquarium - which my DS practically ran through, still too young I guess, then takeaway for tea as it's my usual birthday treat (birthday was on Sunday but it was also Father's Day of course). NSD yesterday.

Today I spent £24.49 (£7.99 of which was party food for tomorrow, feeding 6-8 Adults and 6-8 children) still haven't done my meal plan but have a few ideas. Just need to decide when to do things.

Had a NSD yesterday and spent £10.46 at Mr T this morning. I used the voucher that was in the free Sun newspaper delivered last Thursday to get a free 1.25ltr bottle of Coke Zero. Love freebies!!
