Thanks for starting this thread zippy
My month runs from 16th May to 12th June. I still have a budget of £55 per week.
I am under budget again this week so I'm really happy and today is a NSD for meWife and mother :jGrocery budget
April week 1 - £42.78 | week 2 - £53.0524lbs in 12 weeks 15/240 -
Back after an absence and a very spendy few months. Budget for June set at £350 which is realistic as I think I am usually too optimistic and then end up disheartened when I go over budget. Month starts next Wednesday the 28th and runs for 4 weeks0

Spend of £2.46 today - needed milk. DGC came and ate all the biscuits - so bought more. Plus got some whoops bread products.
We had HM wedges + black pudding + fried egg + buttered whoops oven bottom muffin for dinner.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

My mom is visiting from America starting the 29th of May, so I've no clue what our grocery budget will be for this coming month. I need to sit down and hammer out some meal ideas that I can make ahead and freeze or keep in the fridge so that I don't have to cook every single day. Means we can go out and I can show mom all the neat things I've discovered!
Is it sad that I'm really looking forward to her washing the dishes while she's here? She has offered, and that's about the only thing I'll let her help with while she's here, she is a guest after all.0 -
Yay June!
Sticking with my usual £80
Just 'polishing' a Tesco order which is due Tuesday. I may be late to this one but...I've heard of people booking their December/Christmas slots as soon as they are released does anyone do anything similar all year round? Thinking of starting my basket for the start of next month with all our usual and booking myself a cheap slot early...
Got an e-voucher to use which will hopefully still work allowing me to buy a few extras (long life/cupboard) to stock pile for our self catering holiday in September :-)
Already spent £4 in Iceland as they have dolmio jars and Stir in pots for £1 so I got two jars and two stir ins - always good for quick meals. In fact if my e-voucher works I will use some of what I save to buy some more stir in pots to keep in the cupboard
ETA: my tesco code doesn't work************************************

Is it really the June challenge already? Doesn't time fly when you're having fun,LOL!
Sticking to £250 again for this month as we'll be away most weekends so it always seems to cost more for food as we like to try and buy local stuff if we can at farm shops and farmers markets, although the places we go always seem to have W8rose as the local SM!

Shame-faced serial returner here! Hello lovely budgeters! :hello:
£200 for me please, month runs from today till 23rd June (which includes my birthday). Spends today of £11.26 in Ald1 on fruit, veg and cheese. Mexican wraps with quorn mince for dinner. Store cupboard muffins (walnuts, raisins, one sad apple left in the fruit bowl, cinnamon) in the oven now.
Good luck to everyone!0 -
Hi all
I have £74 for 23 May - 25 June ... It's going to be a stretch but I have fairly good store cupboards so fingers crossed! i also have a fair few "veggie main" items in the freezer and some frozen veg. I should be ok.
I've already done a stock up shop of some more veggie main things as on offer in Mr T, as well as rice milk (I buy the long life stuff) although I will need more, and coffee and olive oil.
My sister has just come back from Greece again as she goes over a lot for work and has brought me back some good olive oil and 3 different kinds of tahini! Quite excited about how I will use them
I have a bit of salad in the fridge and a pot of houmous and 2 artichokes that desperately need to be used! Oh and an aubergine! No meal plan yet but will be forthcoming! Will be going to Aldidoodah for my veg this week as they have some good stuff on the super 6 and I have about 6 bananas too, so I'm ok for the foreseeable once I have a few extra bits of fresh stuff!
£30.31 spent
£43.69 remaining
Aiming for £5.69 to get through till next Thursday which should just be for fresh stuff
Am going to Bristol VegFest over the weekend and bound to be some foodie purchases, however I've set aside some money specially to spend there so it won't impact grocery budget.

Bit quiet, I guess most are still in May? Did some meal planning and went to Ald1 again, icecream, bread, other bits and bobs. Hoping not much more till next weekend. Dinner was chips, veggie sausages and veg, kids had choc pudding for afters and I seem to have eaten loads of crisps this evening, not so good!0

Help, wanted to check out 'cheap family recipes' listed as weezls site (http://www.cheap-family-recipes.org.uk) but it doesn't appear to exist, has it moved elsewhere or just disappeared? Any alternatives?0
