    Hi everyone,

I have been absent for nearly a year - and boy does my pocket know about it . I really need to get back on it and give myself a big kick up the bum so here I am! I would like to set my monthly budget at £300. My month starts on the 23rd May and finishes on the 24th June. Glad to be back! :D
    Grocery challenge:December 2022 £151.96/£400 . Advent decluttering challenge 47/240.

I've previously taken part in the GC but not recently. I really need to cut back. My OH has a well paid job so it's been really easy to just spend whatever and spend with no thought. Needs to stop! I've lived on very little, going back to 2004/2005 things were so dire that I had to feed 2 adults and 4 children on £20 a week Inc buying nappies. It was a push but we managed it! I knew all the times to buy the whoops items lol. I dread to think what I'm spending on groceries for 5, probably about £600 per month??? That's just stuff through the bank that I can see, I often get cash and use that on bits n bobs too.

So, it stops here! I'd like to aim for £500 and I'll keep ALL receipts and tot it up. My month starts on 28th may until 27th June.

Oh blimey I haven't done the grocery challenge since 2012 and friends couldn't believe my results! Just found out DH will be losing one of his contracts soon so must get back on top of things. Can I break myself in gently at £400 for June, that's for 2 adults, 2 kids.

Will start on 1st of the month, will be interesting to see how it goes. Think I'll take out cash as it hurts so much to spend that way!
