Well so much for a peaceful lie in this morning (OH up and away at 630). From 730 onwards there has been a hive of activity and loud make that very loud music coming from DD's bedroom   . Not sure if she's achieving anything but she's in there. I am so proud of her but I want to cry as I'm so tired this morning and could've done with more sleep. Gonna take it easy today, maybe see if I can drag her out to go and look for a new iron - want a steam generator and the one I'd ordered delivery has been put back unitl 17 Aug! Anyone got one and what make and model?Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0

Morning all
No washing today - luckily with the weather - but I did get three loads dry yesterday.
S & Sd kitchen, roast dinner cooking. My youngest daughter gets back from holiday later today, seems like months since she went away!0 -
Just dragged this off page 2 - whatever next!
Roast eaten and cleared away. Sides wiped over again. I've got the back door open trying to get the smell of roast dinner out of the houseIt's a nice smell but after a while you've had enough. Especially when you've had cauliflower.....

Well it's persisting it down here just for a change
Been trying to sort out clothes for hols. Kids eating lunch now and then we are off to Argos to pick up an mp3 player for DD as reward for doing so well at school this year, she had an excellent report
Seen a nice pink 1GB mp3 player which after using my nectar points will cost me about £12, already reserved it as I hate queuing 3 times (once to look in the catalogue, then to pay and finally to collect) Wish there was a way you could use the self pay terminals when you want to redeem nectar points.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Last week was a disaster housekeeping wise.
Kept up with the daily things and that was it.
Yesterday made up for it though!
With oldest child (son) moved out to go live with his dad and do High School in the USA, the bedrooms needed to be switched around.
So bright and early I started clearing out the mess he left behind.
Was done by lunch time. DH and I then dissabled the high sleeper in the girls room, emptied son's room.. put high sleeper back in there, and put it back together.
We then went off to Ikea, had our tea there, bought a toddler bed for little squirt.. came home. put bed together...
Squirt was delighted!! She LOVES her new bed! it is one of those 'growing' beds. It is small now, but can be altered to grow with her as the child grows. And she couldn't wait to go to bed! HHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
DD3 niether, as she is getting the high sleeper.
So the two youngest children are sharing a room now, and the two oldest girls will be together.
This morning I sorted out the clothes. 3!! binbags of clothes trown out and another 3 binbags of JUNK!! (to be thrown out obviously.) It is amazing what collects in nooks an crannies!
The big bedroom is still a TIP!! But it is so hot and stuffy here now that I don't have the energy to continue. DD2 can sleep there tonight, (is coming home from scouting camp today) and I'll tackle the rest of it in the coming days.
9 year old DD3 and 3 year old DD4 are chuffed to bits in any case.

Michelle - he looks such a cutie.
Really no flying here, I've stripped half the wallpaper off in the lounge, and nearly all the wallpaper in 1 half of the landing. The house is now a total mess, but the work is getting done. Shelf is nearly done under the stairs, which is good as now the shoes and stuff can go back there, rather than in the lounge.
Right back to the DIY.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
Hello All.
Well here I am sat at work. So far this morning I have had one person call in the office. 5 mins to sort out and gone. I have had 2 phonecalls, 1 from DH and 1 from office manager needing a phone number - lovely:rolleyes: .
Still I have finally filled in the direct debit for the water board. Order a huge box of choccies from Thorntons (via quidco:D with a discount code too;) ) for the nursery staff at DD1 pre-school. They are doing a party for the littles on Thursday so thought Elise could take them in for the ladies then. She has her graduation on Friday, they have been making mortice boards (is that right) to wear, must get tickets for me and DH next week!
Am umming and ahhing about getting an easiyo maker. Maybe one to put on my birthday list.
Littles have gone off the Nannies today but am not 100% happy about DD1 going as she is still running a temp but she was determined to go. She said she didnt want to last night so take it that means she must be feeling better today. She had a good nights sleep and came back into bed with me for another hour at 6am.
Right, back on flylady tracked.
DH has been left with list of jobs:-
Hoover through
Peg out washing
Do ironing
Mow front lawn
That should keep him out of trouble. Still waiting to hear from the people who are meant to be collecting the conservatory furniture via freecyle. The lady that requested the trike and helmet has not been in touch again and that was 10 days ago  . I have sent her a mail asking her to let me know if she still wants it or I will relist it and then charity shop it.
Right off for another mooch around (only another hour and 5 mins of nothing to do to go:rolleyes:0 -
Having a lunch break cos i have spent ages de-grotting the bathroom, i threw out more stuff, which is most unlike me and very liberating. We have so many toiletries  that if we were to sit in the bath all day every day between now and xmas i probably still won't get through it all, and then i will be at work and my form will probably indulge me in even more stuff as usual. Had to throw out a lovely white painted tray a kid bought me as the paint had all gone funny from being in the bathroom. Wish i had twigged it would do that or i wouldn' have left it in there and used it elsewhere.

Don't know if anyone else gets the GetOrganisedNow weekly email, but this week's has a 10 tips for decluttering. Most of those are already included on lil_me's list over the week. But there was this one, which I thought was quite good.
[FONT=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Put things away. While carrying a large shopping bag with handles, go through your home putting at least 8 things that are not in their correct place in the bag. Then, deliver those items to their proper homes.
