Wow now i'm on a roll only one left to do and then i think i may start on Monday and Tuesdays since i missed them.
I love the idea of following the list, i must admit this is the first time ever i have dusted the lightshades and by following the list and cleaning the light switches it has made me scrape off the dried paint that has been there for 3 months since we decorated

Lol - I had the same thing when I started last week :o

Right, just about to leave work now - then I've got to take my youngest to have his feet measured (again!) and then home to crack on with today's housework.

    Wednesday, Master Bedroom & Landing

    Level 1

Remove bed linen and wash, replace with fresh linen
Clean windows and wipe window sills
    Level 2
    Check fire alarms are working
Vacuum floor in bedroom and on landing
    Level 3
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs
Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • 27 fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    • Wipe light switches and dust light shades/lights in bedroom and on landing
    • Sort one drawer, making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
    • Wipe door handles and doors upstairs
We're going away from Friday-Monday, so I'm aiming to get the bare minimum done in the bedroom/landing, but will also be having to get clothes washed etc. I also need to hoover the car, as long as the weather stays dry long enough!

Must tackle my list this eve then!!

Our little community is growing fast. Im so glad that it works for people as it has made such a difference to my life. And its so lovely having everyone to talk to when things go wrong / right!!! Do you think we could speak to the BBC and get a new series on TV getting rid of Anthea? Tell her where to poke her obsessions and show you can have a normal life and a clean house without having to be @n@l?

    Hi
Just turned on the laptop to say my living room smells fab as I put citronella in the dyson and have just vac'd it, but it has took me 15 mins to replace the Y key and all the little plastic bits on the back-what a fiddly job!! (Left dd on cbeebies website while I vac'd) wondered why she snuck upstairs to her room!!

Got a smelly problem I need help with, dd's 1st shoes were stored away in my ottoman, just got them out the other day and they stink!! Noticed that also stored in the Clarks shoe box was a decorated egg one of the kids had made, which has (obviously) gone rottton!!!   Now the horrendous rotton egg stink has sunk into the leather of the shoes, don't want to throw them away but I can't stand the smell. Any ideas??

Bicarbonate of soda is good for removing odours, not sure whether it will remove egg-rot smell or not but it will also be good at removing moisture - I assume it was not a blown egg if it has rotten? Ew poor you anyway!

How about trying this, take an old sock and fill it with bicarb, put it in the shoe, or one in each shoe and then leave for a day. best of luck!

Hi I'm another person who would just like to thank the organiser of this thread.

I started following this in Jan - went off the wagon for a while but I am back on with the routine.

I cannot stress how better and cleaner my house is when I follow this plan. I actually enjoy doing it as well - because its structured and it also feels I''ve acheived something when I complete the list.

I am not one of life's natural cleaners and I can't stress how much this makes a difference to my life.

You could try putting an essential oil such as lemon grass on a flannel and putting that in the shoe. Becareful not to mark the leather. Keep adding a few drops of oil a day. Will take a while but it should help. Good luck xx
